I'm about 3/4 done. I need some glue and some red pen, which i'll be picking up tomorrow.

About being finished, are we posting up our pics here, or emailing them to yourself, Powder? It'll be neat seeing what others have done, but also just as cool if it were all kept under wraps, until the finished item. Wether it be online only, or in print, or what. In print would be fantastic. I'll definitely contribute something towards getting it done...

Work in progress photos can be posted here but I would prefer if the final products were kept under wraps.
A wee bit of secrecy keeps it interesting!

Entries, for lack of a better word, are to be sent to -redacted-

Cool. I must say that this project has got me pretty excited. I'm proper looking forward to seeing it completed.

Only 2 pages per person, fellas.

Kiwamu you're only down for 1 presently so choose between the two.

As for you Andrew, if Kiwammu goes for 27 & you'd like to switch one out for 32, feel free to speak up.

Here are some style ideas for those who may be drawing a blank-
Archie appearance
Metal Mutants
Samurai armor
2k3/2k7 design
First movie realism
Abstract
Photos of toys

I can't choose.... I guess I will just wait for the left overs. I can't figure out the page thing.

NM, I am out. That just takes out all the creative fun you could have with this project right there.
Seriously not being able to change stances, panels, in a different way but keep the the story in sinc. That just sinks my boat.

I don't agree too much on this... I think that as long as the dialogue and actions are preserved, everything is fair.

Maybe my exegesis is lacking, but I don't think what you just described would be prohibited. I assume Powder is just talking about major altercations in the story such that it would mess up successive page contributions.

Guys I just saw this post!

I have the cover almost finished but I will need a few days. Sorry to hold everyone up. Give me to the end of the week if that's okay. Also, is anybody doing page 1? I drew it already and can throw it in if nobody else has drawn it.

Finally, are we doing black-and-white, color, or artist's choice?

The goal is a style change, not an artistic makeover. The panels remaining as they were keeps it intact. It should read & look like the original, format wise.
If you wanted to make the page w/o panels (like draw all the scenes in the proper spots without boxes) feel free, but moving them around is no bueno.

Stances... are subject to change but it can't be anything drastic. If someone has their head down & you'd rather them looking left, go for it. If someone is still and you'd rather them be in a stance to fight, go for it. Just make sure with changes like this that nothing seems out of place to the story. If the scene is simply that of the turtles discussing something, don't have someone in fight mode, for example.

Yeah, that just takes out to much creativity in my book. I guess I am going to sit this out. :l

Now, I wouldn't mind seeing TMNT Vol. 1, #1 redone in the later Eastman & Laird style seen in TMNT Vol. 1, #50. That'd be interesting.
Andrew - "engoofening" the look of TMNT #1 was my original idea. I still think it's a fantastic one since I love the old school cartoon Turtles, especially when drawn by Ken Mitchroney (my favorite of the Archie TMNT artists).

I want to offer to draw any "boring" page that nobody else wants in addition to the cover. I just noticed that Powder is doing page 1 so I withdraw my offer on that one!

One more post and then back to the drawing board.

I like the idea of keeping the original poses. You can throw your art up against the Eastman and Laird art to see the contrast in styles better if you keep the same layout as the original book. It won't look "recognizable" as that iconic first issue if everybody changes the poses.

I'd still like to see everybody take a crack at it. Cumon guys!

Oh I plan on putting my best work into the page I am doing. I am glad we have a few months to work on it as I do not believe I can produce quality work in a shorten time frame, that is why I only want to do page 5 anyway as well as the lettering for the book...

I think this is an awesome project and after #1 is done we move to the next...

Kudos to you Cartoonistaaron and Powder and whoever else though up this idea...

OKAY... FIRST OF ALL, I ONLY HAVE MS PAINT, no photoshop or even paintshop.and guess what? I can do good at ms paint.and they would not be stick-figures,either.so, nevermind.I'm not doing this. I've even drew the turtles in MS Paint quite a few times, and they looked like Eastman's turtles. And a mix of the 1st movie turtles.
