While I don't count on a truce, but I don't see anything cataclysmic happening on either side. It would suck if we barely had the Utroms out of stasis only to decimate them further than before; it would be a lot of wasted time on them for the most part.

I'm pretty surprised it's 21-25; they said it was a two parter here.

Chr'ell will attack them in memory of Krang. Just like Agent Bishop he will shoot first and ask questions later when the Triceratons mean no harm. The alien tricatops sure have a prejudice against them in IDW.

I feel like Ch'rell will remain in stasis for a long time. Just feels too soon to have another evil Utrom around.

You know, given that it’s established that Utroms in IDW ‘carve out’ bodies and covert them into their mech suits...it’d be a bold move (but also clever nod to 2k3) if Ch’rell found Shredder’s body and used it for himself.

The TPBs always collect 5 issues; the actual story about the Utroms and Triceratons probably will still be a two-parter

Considering that Shredder is down to a skeleton at this point, I don't think that would be a very effective weapon, plus Kitsune's plans for Shredder's body are probably going to come to fruition.

But!

I do imagine an opening for what the 2003 show never got to do

Perhaps for #1 of the Vol. 3 reprints? Leo has his Mirage styled shoulder straps here, does he have them on his IDW covers as well?

Side note, I love how Kevin's been way more active on social media lately, in terms of posting WIP's & stuff.

The second one almost looks similar to the TMNT Vol. 4 #1 cover Pete/Dooney did in 2001:

Seems a bit too early for Vol. 4 collections though, given they're just starting Image now.

Aside from seeing Tang Shen in the Tmnt/GB II the writers seem to have lost touch with that aspect of the storytelling.
even the turtles themselves feel like they get left out the story, let alone delve into their past history.
