A decent trailer but... yeesh, I'm still worried. A little less about the movie itself, but how it's going to do. I'm a huge Predator fan and even for me, it's barely registering that there's a new Predator movie in like 2 weeks... let alone non-fans/general audiences. The marketing is doing this no favors. This is gonna sink or swim based on word of mouth alone, methinks.

I want to believe there is a great movie in there that is just being done wrong by marketing, but I dunno.

I also worry that Shane's original film was going to be somehow awesome... but Fox f***ed it up (as they often do) by insisting on the last third being reshot.

Apparently it was a friend of his. He knew he was a registered sex offender. But failed to tell the studio about it.

This kind of thing will get him in trouble in Hollywood.

Mixed reviews. Concerning is the one that says it was fun until the third act (you know, the one Fox made Black reshoot entirely), where it falls apart.

that's what I expect of predator. I mean the first one is nice and all but the whole idea of the Predator is the mysterious creature and once he is seen, it just becomes another monster flick.

I see now what the guy did but I'm still a little... eh on this. And now Olivia Munn is screaming to any reporter that will listen about she told Fox about this, but they didn't get back to her for 2 days. Sort of seems like she's seizing the most of an opportunity to be a "bold beacon" for the current movement in a movie she was lucky to even be a part of, and now negative light is raining down on said movie that is already struggling against crappy marketing and dodgy reviews. Did this really need to be a big PR thing?

I mean, was she honestly afraid for her safety around the guy? I bet it was pretty far from a closed set. And the guy has already paid his debt to society... he wasn't like some sexual predator fugitive sneaking around in the shadows.
