Those animated faces for Mrs. Potts and Chip are creepy as hell.

Watson was actually offered to play the title character in Kenneth Branagh's Cinderella, but she turned it down. The role ultimately went to Lily James. Watson reveals why she turned down the role and her thoughts on why Belle is a better role-model.

Quote:
Why did Watson turn down such a high-profile part? "I didn't know they were going to make Beauty and the Beast at the time I turned down Cinderella," she tells Total Film. "But when they offered me Belle, I just felt the character resonated with me so much more than Cinderella did."

Watson argues Belle is a much better "role model" than Cinderella. "She remains curious, compassionate and open-minded. And that's the kind of woman I would want to embody as a role model, given the choice," she explains. "There's this kind of outsider quality that Belle had, and the fact she had this really empowering defiance of what was expected of her. In a strange way, she challenges the status quo of the place she lives in, and I found that really inspiring. She manages to keep her integrity and have a completely independent point of view. She's not easily swayed by other people's perspective—not swayed by fear-mongering or scapegoating."

25 years ago, Céline Dion recorded a single version of the title song for the original film. Now, she will be singing a new song called “How Does A Moment Last Forever”, which will played during the end credits of the remake.

Disney debuted some motion posters. They've also announced that a final trailer will be released on January 30.

Along with the motion posters, there are also some character posters as well, including one of Dan Stevens when his character is in human form.

Have you even seen them? Jungle Book, Cinderella, and 101 Dalmatians are all pretty good. The only weak ones are Maleficent and the Alice joints.

Right, yet you're against them for some reason. Makes sense.

Glen Close made a PERFECT Cruella. I don't know why everyone criticizes Maleficent. I liked it, and it was an interesting take on the story. Haven't seen Cinderella but Jungle Book was great- except maybe for Louie's musical number- that was just a bit weird....

I remember when that movie came out it made me so frustrated she got top billing, while good old Jeff Daniels barely got any recognition for his involvement in the film. Having been a fan of his since Dumb and Dumber and Speed, I felt that a was kick in the face to his outstanding talent.

We criticize Maleficent because Elle Fanning is a terrible, terrible actress.
