You are absolutely right. Reading different articles it seems these are some pencils that Laird had for a while and only the Eastman inks are recent.

Unfortunately Laird isn't drawing much these days. But I do hope we see some more of his inks at least.

With so many great creators getting up there in age, I'm glad I snagged a Michelangelo sketch by him and Steve Lavigne from Shellback Artworks a few months ago.

Maybe the last few times. But in "the old days" they'd famously just pass pages back and forth between the pencilling and inking process to where there really isn't any goalposts.

I saw Peter today, he did not look well. I did not see him at his last appearance, but he was in a wheelchair today. He signed for at least 4-5 hours. I had trouble hearing him when he spoke and I got a slight smile when I thanked him. I feel bad as I know it was only a few years ago where he was still pretty active hiking and bike riding. I got the feeling in my gut that this was probably the last appearance as it was extremely taxing on him.

Why was he in a wheelchair? That is concerning.

I did find couple of covers Laird inked just recently for TMNT and other Strangeness RPG Redux.

I hope to meet Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird someday and get autographs, would be epic, but it seems that Peter doesn’t do comic con appearances very often.
