This is another one for the history books, as he had the oldest TCW jockey ever, and joins Secratariat as only the second undefeated TCW. Wow.

Lol, no, I just took the commentator at their word and didn't look it up. I remembered that he had an almost unblemished record, but, whether it was before or after, I didn't remember.

It was not really a official race, since it was only 2 horses. But there was public demand for it. Old triple champ vs new Champ. Wonder if we see something like that ever again? |

Now that's a race I would PAY to see! I'd even hitchhike to wherever they held it just to say I was there. And I'd bet on it, too. On Pharoah, just based on his achievements, vs the relatively "inexperienced" three-year-old.

Again every one knows of the fame race between the 2, but it was no derby or title race so to speak. People wanted the 1 on 1 match, paid the money and got one of the best showings in race horse history. |
