A blonde wig and a is a red head? I assumed she was naturally a brunette. I guess if a woman keeps the hair color long enough people will not know. Look at Jolie hiding her blonde hair and Geller her brownish black hair? I bet even fans of theirs dont realize the natural hair color. Tonight I plan to watch High Noon. It is said to not be overhyled or u xerrated so I hope to see how it is.

This week I watched The Game, Zodiac and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I have now officially seen all of David Fincher's films. Those last three somehow slipped by my radar until now.

Preciate that..
It wasn't bad. The ending confused me, but I enjoy time travel movies like that.

Ah, the "classics", LOL!
Speaking of "classics", tonight we're watching The Last Starfighter (again). Because I'm in the mood for something fun and sci-fi.

I try to widen my interest in film by sampling classics. I have found I enjoy quite a few even enough to own. Not into the classics, huh? Not familar with The Last Starfighter though. I typically dont dive into sci-fi below the surface but the surfa e has some fantastic films.

Here it is, guys. I could not find it available on Netflix and it is not at my local library, but lucked out and found it on Dailymotion in full.

Actually, I DO enjoy classic films, although I'm not entirely sure Dirty Harry qualifies (yet). 39 Steps is really going back, though! Some of my favorite classic films are The Maltese Falcon (I'm a sucker for Bogart), any of the old Bing and Bob "Road to..." comedies, anything with Danny Kaye, and the originals of Day the Earth Stood Still and War of the Worlds. Then again, I've been known to marathon the entire Planet of the Apes series or a bunch of Elvis movies from time to time, too. You really should see Last Starfighter though, it's one of those 80's sci-fi films that really ages well. (And the score was very memorable and heroic, too!) I mean, yeah, it's kind of light and "fluffy" as sci-fi flicks go, but that's what makes it so much fun to watch. It's up there with Flight of the Navigator as one of my favorite sci-fi movies from the 80's. Dunno' what that says about me, but on an interesting side-note, it had some pretty decent early CG for a movie made back then. And the alien make-up effects were great! Edit: And also, I just discovered a name in the cast credits that many sci-fi (and especially Star Trek) fans will recognize- Will Wheaton! It would appear this was one of his VERY early films.

I marathoned the original series the other week. I enjoyed them all, not sure why the sequels aren't as well liked as the first one.

I think it was the shock value of the original movie's ending. The later films got much more deep philosophically, and that probably turned a lot of people off. Personally, I love all of them.
Currently in the middle of a mini-Bond-a-thon, as one of my local stations is airing several of the recent Bond movies. Started with The World is Not Enough, then went to Die Another Day, and now Goldeneye is on. Pierce Brosnan isn't my favorite Bond, but he's pretty close. And we've created our own drinking game idea of taking a shot every time he says his name- we counted four shots in ten minutes in one movie alone, LOL! It's a good thing we're not actually doing it, or we'd be soused by now.... (And for the curious, my fave Bond film ever is Moonraker.)

Well, It's mostly because of the side-plot with Jaws and that cute scientist girl with the pig-tails, LOL! Jaws was always one of my favorite villain henchmen, and it was nice to see him about-face AND get "get the girl"! Quote:
