Now I've been listening how much you guys hate this episode. Would it be a crime to say I love it?

Site reasons or you're getting fitted for an orange jumpsuit.
EDIT: I guess I should state why I HATE it... Being a Turtle endows the Turtles with special ninja powers? Why did they even train? If the powers are part of the turtle mutation, why bother? Ninja abilities are learned, not a superpower you lose when you turn from a Turtle to a human. Though I could see him being less durable, or more klutzy because he isn't used to moving in a human body.

At least the series was consistent. Napoleon's cloths came back to normal and ripped again in Napoleon Bonafrog: Colossus of the Swamps and then there's Carter....

The main thing I did like about it, was how we learned something more about Mikey, and how "human" he really is in general and how, in a way, he probably yearns for a normal life. That's the only pro about the ep, imo.
The cons, mostly everything else. I do agree over how stupid it was that, apparently, becoming human means you can't use your martial arts. Last I looked, Splinter trained them in the art of ninjutsu and taught them techniques from the clan of his ancestor. Mutating into a human shouldn't have caused Mikey to lose his actual fighting skill...maybe some of his strength or stamina or agility (on a human level), sure, but not the actual skills that were taught to him. By this show's logic, Splinter shouldn't be able to do any fighting as Yoshi because he's been mutated as a rat for so doggone long. The beginning was just too foolish even by OT standards. Seriously! How could they not recognize Bebop in drag? |

I literally can't watch it. It'd put me to sleep if I chugged a barrel of Monster/Rockstar/Red Bull/5-hour-energy.

ok first off. Michelangelo is my favorite character. next like you said it shows that he wishes to be a normal teenager and do the same things we do. But I do agree with you that his ninja and skateboarding skills should not of disappeared once he became human because he had years of training in both.

Exactly... turning human shouldn't have resulted in Mike losing his ninja or skateboard abilities... Plus... out of all the possible appearance Mike could have taken up... how did the Turtles know what he'd look like? They ran right into a kid that looked just like human-Mike and were like 'look, it's Michealangelo as a human teenager'.

I have to admit the older I get the less I like this episode, however it did inspire me to create my Jephael character.

Jester just hates it because Mikey looks like him when he becomes human, instead of it being Raph.

I guess my question to you would be: on what level do you love it? Do you love being nostalgic over the silly cheesiness of it? Or do you sit there and truly think that it's one of the greatest animated episodes ever created in television history?

Ginger? Hey, we both know that they only made his hair orange because his bandana was orange. Surfer dudes in general are blonde. And you are clean-shaven now, right? Come on, put on a floral print shirt and prove me wrong.

I didn't hate this episode, but it definetly wasn't one of my favorites. I thought the whole losing his skills when he changed was pretty dumb, but I just chalked it up to another dumb moment in a series that had quite a few of them. Just harmless stupidity.
