well the frogs were okey, that they were a bunch of a whinny little woosies and easiler fell for shredder's tricks in their first ep, when shredder said who the enemy was. They only appeared in a few others. they appeared in leatherhead:terror of the swamp. |

The worst frogs episode IMO was Big Bug Blunder. I didn't like this episode except for the short Metalhead cameo
The frogs didn't bother me much in Invasion of the Punk Frogs, but they really brought down later episodes like "Leatherhead Terror of the Swamp" (a farfetched episode anyway, i guess)... |

I'm just wondering why they never had the Punk Frogs try to eat Baxter. It would've been a far better send-off than "locking him away in another dimension...again".

I wonder why they were called Punk Frogs to begin with... They dress like tourists and talk like Gomer Pyle....

LOL I would love to see them try to eat Baxter! But were they in any episodes where Baxter was present as the fly? I can't really remember! I know that Genghis was in Big Bug Blunder and was trying to eat the giant fly.

What bugged me (for every laugh I hear I shall kill you) is that the Turtles never ONCE tried to help Baxter. The toss-him-away-into-a-random-dimension strategy was all they ever used. I thinkt he episode was "Landlord of the Flies", Donatello says "keep him busy, guys" then comes back with a portable dimensional gateway generator and just blasts him into another dimension. Don: You're spending the 7th inning stretch IN ANOTHER DIMENSION!!! Raph: How come he gets all the good lines? Baxter: Noooooo! The only reason I'm bringing up that line of dialogue is because I actually rememebr it froma decade ago and this may be my only cahcne to write it. Anyway, aren't the Turtles pretty heartless? I mean, [i[killing[/i] the poor guy is one thing, but zapping him to some crazy dimension? That has GOT to suck. I mean, just look at some of the dimensions he got blasted to? There was the one inhabited by giant spiders (how he survived, I don't know) and then the worst one, the blue dimension that was pretty much just a 10' X 10' box (how he didn't starve to death, I don't know). I'm sure there were others, but that's all I remember. Jesus, getting eaten by the Punk Frogs would've been a favor. |

True but they know Baxter is evil, why would they help him?

He was just a down-on-his-luck scientist with a brilliant invention to exterminate the city's rat problem. But no one would buy the Mousers or pay him any respect until Shredder came along. So he built the Mouser Mother-Computer for him, not knowing he was an evil overlord (though the mutants and weaponry should've been a top-off). He just thought he had "A real thing about rats". He goes home and Shredder orders the Foot Soldiers to kill him. No witnesses. The TMNT "save" him and then tie him to a poll and cross-examine him. Raph even puts his sai to Baxter's throat. They then call the police and Baxter gets taken to an asylum where he goes completely nuts. Probably because the doctor's keep telling him "There are no such things as giant turtles" when he really saw them. Then Shredder comes and breaks him free but doesn't give him much of an option about teaming up. It all ends with Krang ordering his executiona nd Baxter getting mutated into a fly monster. All Baxter wanted was revenge on both Shredder and the TMNT for turning him into a monster. If you think about it, Baxter's predicament is partly the fault of the TMNT. He was always kind of an "innocent victim". He just wanted someone to respect his work. Instead he gets driven insane, mutated into a freak and locked away in another dimension for all eternity. Life's funny like that, right? |
