It's pretty sad. I've been collecting this line since they debuted in 2012ish. I don't live in a big area, so we only have a couple stores where I could find TMNT, but it always seemed to get the newest waves. I'm only missing a couple figures and vehicles for a complete set. I'll probably have to get them online, but i'll miss scouring the shelves for new figs.

Got a few more 2017 releases today.
Got a couple of figures that I initially didn’t expect to be particularly good...
80s garb BB n RS !!!
I was more than pleasantly surprised. These guys are great!!!

Happy to have them out and on display, but I am thinking of getting another pair to keep in packs.

I wonder if it’s being updated, a glitch, or the line has actually been dropped!!

Muckman. Painting project :
Currently looking like this after some detailing today.

Eyes and mouth touch up tomorrow.
I want to dirty up the sewer lid and add slime to it before re-attaching .

Wait...yours has a sewer lid?

The figure released over here in the US did NOT, to all of our dismay. At least none of the 3 of them that I found had a sewer lid. Yours did??? And it was detachable????

I know the one I showed you from Instagram had one, but I figured the customizer added it (or maybe had gotten ahold of a prototype).

I added a sewer lid from the half shell heroes van. Perfect size.
My mate doesn’t have that yet, and I plan to do the extra work to that, as it totally sets old muck man off !!
Ad released, it’s very lazy, with more detailing than any other figure released.
And then, the result: not realizing it’s own potential !!

I had not forgotten XL Usagi, I was just speaking in terms of the basic figures/"vehicles". Who could forget XL Usagi??

Just got Karai and Usagi in the mail, gave up waiting for them to hit stores.

Karai is mostly a disappointment with her unarticulated noodle arms and spreading eagle hip joints, just overall a very awkward and un-toyetic figure with no fun factor for posing.

Usagi is the closest non-Turtle figure to be as good as wave 1 Basic Turtles, the scabbards are cartoonishly big and his left arm got a weird elbow joint, but besides that he's pretty alright.

I think this concludes my collection of Playmates 2012 figures, everything else outside of wave 1 besides a couple of figures have been lackluster and I've lost interest.
