For me, the worst part of getting the hair done is always having to make conversation with the hairdresser. That, and having the balls to be assertive enough to tell them what you actually want (instead of doing the "nod, smile, scream on the inside" thing that all we socially awkward types do). Now I've got it down to a fine art - I'm so freaking bossy it's not even funny. The poor stylist gets that deer in headlights look when I tell her "I want to look boyish and androgynous - let's do something super-fun this month and put the clippers on 1!".

I used to have 4 shiny Eevee in Platin (Don´t have the game anymore).
I chained them with this wobbling bush technic and they evolved to Flareon, Glaceon and Umbreon (one remained to be Eevee).
Umbreon was my fav. and got the Nickname Luna.

What made me happy today: Found my old "Sleepy Hollow" DVD in the basement! I love movies with Johnny Depp

Lol!! I had a good friend who loved getting her hair cut in a mullet. I once went with her to get it cut and the conversation went a lot like that. I hate it when the stylist "knows" better than you what you want. NO, what I said, not what you've interpreted... Let's make this easier, not harder.

Santolouco (Main artist for IDW's TMNT comic) favorited a recent drawing of mine on Deviantart!

Congrats on that, Powder.

I was thinking that a bacon double cheeseburger from BK sounded good and my mom actually got me one. Great minds think alike!

Had a nice lunch with my parents, sister, brother-in-law, niece, grandparents, cousin, her husband, and their daughter. My grandparents, cousin and her family were in town for the weekend (Friday-today) to see my 1 month old niece for the first time (and because of the timing, celebrate Trey's 2nd birthday). It was a good visit, though short because of work. If I'd have had more warning, I'd have taken the weekend off.

I tried chaining back in Generation 4, but I just couldn't get the hang of it. I tried chaining Pikachu and Pichu in the Trophy Garden for months [because electric Pokémon were more likely to appear if the head Pokémon of your party has the Static ability; electric is my favourite type, so this worked out nicely for me in theory] but I never once got a shiny with this method. The highest chain I was ever able to reach was 22. I was just so bad at it, I rarely got over 10.

That said, I found another shiny Eevee today! This time from Wonder Trade! And it had a 31/31/x/31/31/31 IV spread! I also managed to hatch a shiny Riolu!

EDIT: I also got a shiny Emolga before I fell asleep last night!

So the sharpies she sent me arrived. I didn't expect to get nearly this many. Looks like we're both tricking each other.

I don't think I'd trust Mikey with sharpies, lol.

Had such a lovely day today. We went to our favorite game store and my husband and I each got something. My husband and I got some new T-shirts (2 TMNT, Sonic & Godzilla shirts) which is always awesome! Then we took our son to his first ever movie in the theatre "Planes Fire & Rescue" with my folks and he was completely enamored. It was so fun to see him so engrossed. Then we all ate at a pizza place and played arcade games together and had an air hockey war. I finally beat my mom, which has never happened- it was cool. Just a great day, full of fun times with family and just a relaxed feel. Plus I ended the day by fixing a broken SEGA CD that I got a week ago or so. I had to teach myself to solder and practice a lot, but was finally successful. Great day! I haven't had such a nice day in quite some time!

Really made me happy that I found a really awesome way to clean my NES cartridges. I used Brasso, a Clic-Eraser & rubbing alcohol and take each cartridge apart and deep clean them. After everything gets put back together they work first time every time. I spent several hours working on getting a bunch of my games done this way this evening and it was so therapeutic to do. I'm such a nerd, lol!!! Unfortunately, I'm maybe only 1/4 done with my collection... Oh well, it'll all get done eventually.

I went to this amazing mexican restaurant right down the road from where I live... and their signature dessert is chocolate nachos. We are now one, and I have never been happier! Seriously, soooo delish.
