It's a toss between Splinter, Shredder and April...

In the end, I choose Shredder, the turtles arch enemy.

went with Usagi on this one, but Beebop and Rocksteady were a close second for me. Love those two dunderheads.

I went with Usagi, though it was a hard toss-up between him, April, Casey, and Splinter. The reason I picked Usagi is the opposite of many others here- he's an independant creation from the Turtles characters, but he still fits into their world so well! He's the perfect match/foil for Leonardo, and has a well-developed story and world of his own. And though he wasn't originally part of the TMNT universe, he has become so much a part of it that the Turtles are the first thing most people think of when they see him! I also see him as the ideal of what Leo strives to be in terms of honor, loyalty, and bravery- someone for Leonardo to look up to outside of Splinter. Add to that the fact that he's been in nearly every version of the TMNT thus far (movies excluded- and we've yet to see if he will appear in the Nick show) he has become a staple of the Turtles-verse. Besides, who DOESN'T love that adorable sword-weilding samurai bunny!

Shredder for sure, he is my favourite turtle character, with Krang being a close second. He is especially awesome when they have him being so tough the turtle can only defeat him by working together as one like in the movies or in the early seasons of the OT.

April - this is tricky and I based it on episodes/stories/art I look forward to the most, the other two strong contenders being Splinter and Usagi.

Easy choice. Definitely Splinter. The whole father figure thing. Every version of him is just so caring toward the turtles, April, and any other friends of the turtles. He's very wise and often has deep and philosophical things to say (even the odd time in the 80's cartoon). He's seems to be a pacifist at heart but is actually the most skilled of all the characters and won't hesitate to join the turtles' side in action if he's needed.

For me, it's a close call between Casey Jones and Krang. I went with Casey because I loved him in both the OT and the 1990 film. In the OT, he was still bad-a** to me, despite him being absolutely crazy. Maybe it was the Dirty Harry type voice. In the film, I absolutely loved Elias Koteas' portrayal of Casey. He just brought the character to life, and had some of the best lines.

Koteas is awesome in every role he does, a truly underrated actor!

Don’t know if this counts but I’ve always liked Ace Duck. Loved his action figure as a kid and I really loved that they brought him back in the IDW comics.
