My memory is damned fuzzy of it (aside from remembering a really cool story in it with the Dragon dude), but what about articles within the TMNT magazine itself way back?

Well, the TMNT magazines are front to back TMNT content (mostly). The purpose of this list is more to find TMNT articles in magazines that don't also have TMNT in the title.

Gotcha.

I remember the Nintendo Power you list there implicitly, but I also could swear there were other TMNT articles in later NPs. There was even a contest in there, I think... to appear in the movie!

There were lots of NP issues. I used to have photocopies of most of them, but they seem to have disappeared. Video game articles aren't a current priority for my personal collection, but I'll probably get around to them eventually. Right now I'm mostly focusing on movie-related articles.

Wherever it was, newspaper or magazine, I remember reading in English in 1990 about the different origins of Splinter in the movie/comic vs. the cartoon. There was no internet back then.

Thanks, NinjaTurtlesFan! I actually meant to cross-reference my list with yours, but I think just dealing with mine was all I could take in one day.

But I've now added everything from your site that I didn't have listed (I think).

Sweet collection Rose. I still have the Black Belt TMNT special and the Cinfantastique TMNT II ones. Plus a few I just xeroxed out of some magazines in high school. Ah, the advantages of being a library aide back in the day.

Well, I don't have all of these, but a lot of them. I used to have a bunch of xeroxed stuff, but it's gone MIA. Alas...

If you've got anything that's not on this list, please post all of the info and I'll add it!

There was also a Teenrage Moolah Nitwit Turtles 1 parody in a Mad magazine. I have the issue somewhere, but I can't remember what the number of the issue was.

I've got some more updates to the list!

Speaking of which, we really need an easier to find repository!

Fantazia #11
-Brief review of the 1st film, even more brief preview of the 2nd film, and a feature on Fleetway's "Comic Relief" publication, in which the "Hero Turtles" were featured.

Collectible Toys & Values (originally titled Toy Values Monthly)
#4 (September 1991) -preview of the upcoming Playmates TMNT figures for 1991 and comic book estimated price listing

#20 (July 1993)- TMNT featured issue!

This one is awesome! It's got an informative interview with Playmates Vice-President of Marketing, Karl Aaronian, and a look at the upcoming Playmates figures for 1993 and beyond! I really should scan the interview sometime.

EDIT:
Disney Adventures (May 1993)
-> [don't own... anymore, apparently]

Nintendo Power
#237 (January 2009)
-> "Shell-Shocker!" (6 page feature on TMNT Smash-Up)

#247 (November 2009)

Wizard

#12, August 1992
-> "The Creator's Edge: Tundra" by Tom Palmer, Jr.
[3 page feature on the "creator's rights" advocate publishing arm founded by Kevin Eastman]

#20, April 1993
-> "Turtle Time Travel" by Andy Mangels

#21, May 1993
-> "Making Turtles Talk" by Andy Mangels

Sorry for the necroposting, but I do still try to keep an eye on TMNT magazine appearances.

I noticed that TMNT appeared on the cover and presumably in the feature article of the May 2 issue of Variety from this year as part of their "Nickelodeon Outside the Lines" story. Curious to know if anybody saw the issue and could offer a summary.
