Miller, known more for his visual flair than for the brash antics that Reynolds and his writers embraced and that fans loved, wanted a more stylish take, one that would compete with mega-budget superhero movies, insiders said. But it would have cost three times as much as the original $58 million film, the first individual said.
If all this is true, parting ways with Miller was the best option.

He wants to focus on the big visual flairs instead of the witty essence of the original? **** that, and **** him! Good riddance.

I'm glad he left, I want Deadpool done right.

Seems to me that Miller knows that lightning can't strike twice.
Just because he wanted additional CGI crap in the sequel doesn't mean he wants to see an entirely different Deadpool movie; he just knows that things have to be rearranged a bit in order to keep things interesting.

Could be. Sequels don't generally do fantastic and he probably doesn't want to get pigeonholed as Deadpool Director or go down with the ship if Deadpool was a one trick pony. He says, "I want a 150 million dollar budget!" knowing that will get him shown the door. Meanwhile, at the end of the day he's still coming off of directing an 800 million dollar grossing movie and basically gets to direct whatever the hell passion project or franchise movie he wants.

*cough*Ninja Turtles Reboot*wishful cough*never know*cough*

I haven't seen it, but I imagine most people enjoyed Deadpool because it was a nice break from the fatiguing formulaic super hero films so often put out today. If Deadpool 2 is just like the first, then that too becomes formulaic.

Good riddance. His Fury Road sound design was great, but Deadpool was just awful. Maybe they'll get a composer who makes real music this time around, and not some overhyped RCP goon.

I disagree, Junkie XL's Deadpool score was pretty good, I love the use of the Beat It synth during some of the action scenes.

The only music I liked from Deadpool was the Deadpool Rap. That was great.

I liked the first movie's music. But I guess having a different composer for the sequel will make it feel more different to the first one.

The problem is that that's not what Reynolds wants. He wants a carbon copy of the first; he wants his big success repeated.

While that's understandable, it'll inevitably end up with people saying "It's too much like the first one".

Something that's hard to do in a sequel, You can't have more of the same, you will have to come up with new things in order for the sequel to work.

This sequel has a lot going for it with Cable being involved, the sequel will deal with some time travel stuff no doubt.

Or not as good. It could go either way I think.

Time travel would be nice, maybe have Cable give Deadpool his teleportation device too?

Tim left to go focus on a much more financially strong and sound investment that is Sonic the Hedgehog.
