Won't be surprised if there is no sequel, but if it gets one, I imagine it won't be greenlit for another year or so.

Maybe it just comes down to whether Haim wants to do one, even if it doesn't make quite as much money as expected.

Now fans can enjoy the Ninja Sentai Kakuranger episodes for free this Saturday as part of Shout! Factory Streaming’s live event. Ninja Sentai Kakuranger Synopsis
It’s been a long time since the great war between the Three God Generals and the Youkai, an ancient race of monstrous spirits. Since then, imprisoned in a cave protected by the mystical Seal Door, their leader Daimaou and his Youkai army wait, planning for the day they can finally strike. That day has arrived and it is up to the Kakurangers, along with the Three God Generals, to defeat the Youkai before Daimaou’s villainy destroys Earth!

Yep, Netflix would have zero to do with getting a sequel greenlit. Even if it did they wouldn't be able to get the streaming rights for years. Epix gets all of the Lionsgate films which are later streamed on Hulu and Prime.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I didn't mean Netflix would generate revenue for the movie; but it can put a lot of eyes on it that missed out on it in theatres. If it gets a lot of viewings and positive ratings, it can have an impact on deciding whether or not to move ahead with a sequel (if they're even on the fence in the first place.) It's definitely a metric they'll at least look at.

People are also forgetting DVD sales. There have been films that were made based on the DVD sales of another bringing in more revenue.

Hardly anyone even buys DVDs or blu-rays anymore. It might see a spike in on demand kind of viewings, but not nearly enough to move the needle.

Sure they do. A producer buddy of mine has had two of her indy movies out on Netflix in the past 4 years and she can see lots of details: how many views, whats the average point when people turn it off, most common rating(though that system has changed to a thumbs up/down system now), ratings based on different demographics... lots of details. You just can't see what other movies/tv shows are doing. But if its yours, you can access it. Unless she has an in with Netflix and that's not a normal thing to have... but I'd imagine if she could, Lionsgate would have no problem.

I'd be interested in getting this for the cards. I'd like to know what they say on the backs of them. The listing currently says its sold out, but it probably only says that until they straighten things out with the item. I'm also pretty sure there will be plenty in the stores once they're released.

Now I just want to know what Wal-Mart's exclusive will be.
