I have a nice collection (nearly 80!) that contains everything from Dracula and (most of) Anne Rice's vamp books, to some steamy vamp romances, P.N. Elrod's two vamp series, The Silver Kiss by Annette Curtis Klause (of Blood and Chocolate fame- and also my very favorite vampire tale BTW) and horror tales like The Summoning, Salem's Lot, and even a few anthologies.
Oh cool - PN Elrod's vamp series are actually in my to-read list. I enjoy vampire novels as well, I'm just a little burnt out on the romantic aspect - I kind of prefer Salem's Lot and Brian Lumley's take on them, where they're a bit more monstrous.

Lumley- there's a name I haven't heard in a while! Poppy Z Brite (yes that's her name) is pretty good, and I loved the Children of the Vampire series as well, but honestly, I found Salem's Lot distressingly disappointing. The Night Flyer was much better; King's forays into "classic monster" territory have been spotty, at best. Silver Bullet was another stinker, LOL!

Now if you want monstrous, there's a little book called "The Summoning" by Bentley Little, which is a neat take on the oriental/Chinese vampire. Really creepy and chilling. It might be right up your alley! When the last line of the Prologue reads "Jesus' favorite color was black.", you know you've got a real creep-fest....

All Star Superman is good. I was going to pick up Pax Americana after all the hype, but I still can't wrap my head around the new multiversity event.

Finishing up Troy Denning's Star Wars Dark Nest trilogy and will probably start the nine book Legacy of The Force series tomorrow. Also reading the third book of A.C. Crispin's Han Solo trilogy with my fiancee. She's had me read the whole trilogy aloud to her which has been pretty fun. We like the Legends continuity as well as the official SW canon stuff, so we're never short on epic space battles and lightsaber duels.

I'm currently reading Insurgent by Veronica Roth. When it comes to teen series, it's either hit or miss for me. It all boils down to character development, if the main characters can hold my attention, and a good plot is a must. I'm out of my teen years (I miss being a teen, but I still act like one a majority of the time.) I'm really glad I got this title from the library. I feel that this series, along with The Hunger Games, is enjoyable and suspenseful.

Fatherland by Robert Harris. About 100 or so pages in, quite enjoying it so far.

Really though, can't wait until Christmas, I'm getting Revival by Stephen King. It's sitting in a pile of presents, unwrapped, and it's taken a lot of willpower not to sneak read it...

Man, King's new one is so twisted. I haven't been kept up nights in a long time, but this one scared me plenty. Hope you enjoy your Christmas present.

I'm currently re-reading The Hobbit. That's about it for now.

The Fault in Our Stars (for the 4 millionth time) by John Green.
Paper Towns by John Green.
And last, but I think my favorite, I Swear by......Something Davis.

I love the Divergent trilogy so much. She also released a book called Four which has tales from Four's perspective. I just love series like this because they draw you in.

Currently starting to re-read the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman. I haven't read it in a while, and I thought it would be neat to try and read it again.

I just started Homeland which is book one in R. A. Salvatore's Dark elf saga. He wrote some great Star Wars novels so I thought I'd give these a go. I'm liking his fantasy series so far. It's got quite a lot more action than I was expecting. So can't complain!

Been reading Y: The Last Man (second time around) and Invincible, amongst others. I had put off Invincible for ages as it seemed silly, but I've now polished off the first nineteen volumes since Saturday. Really great comic for the most part.
