24 actress Marissa Nichols has been cast as Hermione Lodge who has returned to Riverdale after the scandal with Hiram (I can't wait to find out WTF this whole scandal is that caused Hiram to be imprisioned! )



Madchen Amick meanwhile has been cast as Betty's mom, Alice Cooper, who is now editor of the newspaper (which is kinda odd as that's usually what Reggie's dad does in the comics. But there's been no mention of the Mantle's so far! )

Archie's Weird Mysteries is pretty much what made me a fan of archie in the first place. After watching that series I started reading the comics and checking out the old series. I actually started re-watching it a few days ago lol, I think I only have two or three episodes left to watch.

As for this though I might give it a try but idk.

Archie WILL have red hair

Pop Tate is Greek (still want John Ryes Davies to play him tho)
Reggie is a drunkard
Hiram and Hermione Lodge are divorced!
Jughead's addicted to caffiene instead of burgers and is no longer friends with Archie
Betty and Veronica aren't friends anymore either apparantly
Twinsest IS hinted at between Cheryl and Jason (who's death is a plot point in the pilot)

Reggie, Moose and Dilton have been cast now. Reggie is being reduced to recurring character status for some reason. Hrm...

Daniel Yang is Dilton, Ross Butler is Reggie, and Cody Kearsley is Moose Mason

Somehow I had a feeling that Reggie would be asian..

Lochlyn Munro (recently seen in 2 eps of Lucifer) is Hal Cooper (Betty's dad)
Ashanti Bromfeld is Melody (Josie and the Pussycats)
Irie Hayleau is Valerie (Josie and the Pussycats)
Caitlin Mitchell-Markovitch is Ginger Lopez (one of Archie's love interests in the comics)

Apparantly Cheryl is the big bad in the 1st season (taking her anger out on everyone for the loss of her brother?)

Barclay Hope (who I last saw as Lily's foster father in Once Upon A Time) and Nathalie Bolt (I think the only thing I've seen her in is District 9) have been cast as Cheryl Blossom's parents Clifford and Penelope.

In the comics Clifford is essentially Bill Gates. An uber rich, yet down to earth software designer. The Blossom's are richer than the Lodge's.
