I picked up the signature edition of Fugitoid off ebay for $42 and... yeah, don't think this line is for me. It's a fine figure but I have zero connection to it. This is a bit of a relief because it means I really am almost done collecting NECA. I'll likely get at least one of the turtles they showed off at SDCC to see what I think of it but that will hopefully be about it.

This Shredder figure is also notable for being the first release in a new partnership between NECA and Walmart. The two have teamed for an online platform called AutoT, which focuses on limited edition collectibles and the promise of guaranteed authenticity. Figures purchased through AutoT can be stored in a digital vault, allowing fans to show off their collections online. AutoT will also offer signed versions of certain collectibles. In the case of Shredder, 1 out of every 10 figures will be randomly autographed by Eastman.

Walmart and NECA will be revealing more information about the AutoT platform on Monday, October 3. Preorders for the Shredder figure will go live on October 6, and in-person AutoT kiosks will also begin showing up in select Walmart stores on October 15.

While sure bootlegging NECA items is a thing, do we really need this digital service from Walmart? How about a guarantee that it’s not going to be shipped in a baggie by a gorilla with irritable bowels?
The mangled box will be proof enough that it really came from Walmart and we won’t need an NFT to authenticate it.

new b&w shredder. how can anyone in their right minds think this deco looks good? it looks like a toddler took a sharpie to it. absolutely awful. looks nothing like the comic. i'm actually personally offended as how terrible this deco is.
