You're not alone. I don't like Baxter in this version either. I don't even feel fully sorry for him. His situation is unfortunate, but I felt way sorrier for OT Baxter because if how he was pretty much thrown into the situation.

Unpleasant episode.
Starting from Baxter mutation to the way he "eat"...just...blargh. Premise of the episode was cool - three parties hunting down the retromutagen for their own purposes, but it felt really half-cooked and less then average. Baxter's mutation was uncalled for - he was barely developed as a character and his transformation hasn't brought anything new to the table, well, except it had made him disgusting...which is not much. I think I dislike this version of Shredder even more so than his 2k3 counterpart. At least Ch'rell had presence and while he was a genocidal maniac, he had mind and cunningness to be respected and afraid of. This Shredder is sort of like carbon copy of Ch'rell minus cunningness and presence, which makes him boring. At least Kraang are entertaining to certain degree. At least Kirby is back to normal and Don had some kisses. And cameo of Ace Duck was fun. |
