Blade Runner sequel to be released in 2018
The Blade Runner sequel is happening, they will start filming this July, Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling will be in it, it's expected to be released on January 12, 2018.
http://www.comicbookmovie.com/sci-fi...e-date-a131215 It's interesting that the sequel will be released on 2018, just a year before the time the 1st one too place in, which was 2019. |

My interest level in this just went down big time with the casting of Jared Leto. Ugh.

I wonder what wacky behind-the-scenes antics ol' Leto will be up to this time, in order to 'get in character'!

He's probably stuffing extension cords into sheep as we speak.

That trailer was early Christmas for me. Blade Runner is in my top five favorite films. I'm elated.

This film certainly looks like it has potential. Hope they don't screw it up.

Did nothing for me, can't really form any opinion on that little. Hope it's as aesthetically pleasing as the original, at least.

Blade Runner is not for everyone, the movie has this sort of film noir vibe, I'm sure it'll be the same for the sequel.

a bunch of official stills have been released, and one reveals Ana de Armas playing a character name Joi, Perhaps she's a replicant?

Going to venture a guess here... the (rogue) replicants started making replicants, and they're super hard to detect and have some secret (but probably benign) agenda. That's why it's not so simple anymore.
(kind of like what Winona Ryder's character in Alien Resurrection... "You're Second Gen?!?!)

Given that she was a Replicant, perhaps she didn't live long enough, cause they can only live for 4 years, But if I remember, She was a newer model that can live longer. |

It depends on which version of the original you were watching. In one she would've expired like any other replicant. In the terrible version with the voiceover they revealed that she was "special" and wouldn't expire like the others.
