Turtle Tree
I made a Turtle Tree with various TMNT ornaments from the Fugirelic to the Hallmark release to a monster truck themed TMNT ornament to the American Greetings 1987 set. Thought I would share it with the Drome.

More photos. Not all would attach in one post.

Cute! That's a pretty decent collection of TMNT ornaments.
Only a couple Turtles on mine, both Leo. I've got that 2003 Hallmark Keepsake ornament and the 2012 Leo with that rather limp sword. I kind of want the gingerbread Turtles, but haven't ever come across a decent eBay price on them. Sadly the set of TMNT Christmas balls my brother-in-law made me several years ago aren't up this year, because someone threw an tantrum last year (and it wasn't my toddler nephew) and broke a few of my ornaments...including the Leo Christmas ball. |

Although I'm curious what Leo ornament that is in that last photo, bottom right (or bottom left if looking at image right side up) with the Santa hat; the one nearest the date and time. Is that a 2003 series Leo?

One of my favorite Christmas ornaments ever! It's a shame Hallmark only produced one 4Kids era Turtle figure. An entire set of Turtles would have been amazing.

Yes, it is a part of the 2003 set that I got from The Christmas Mouse, a Christmas store in Williamsburg. There is also a 2007 film set from the store as well that was from another year. I believe that the independent Christmas stores got a couple of different sets issued that did not appear at Walmart or other chain retailers.

Totally agree. That series went on long enough it would have been cool had they put out a new Keepsake Turtle each year. |

Ya know... I thought the truck was just a toy turned into an ornament... until I just came across it on eBay. I like that it's kind of an unusual idea for one.

Lol I did something similar with my small holiday tree this year. Put up all my TMNT ornaments (some of them are actually keychains) along with my Hallmark Marvel and DC ones, and a bunch of miscellaneous "regular" ornaments like bells, balls, little birds and poinsettias, and the like. I also have that 2012 Leo, as well as his brothers, and a Raph on a "broken" ball top, among others.

Merry Christmas to all and I hope others will create their own Turtle trees. There are so many different ornaments of TMNT out there. I only wish there was a Hallmark distributed set instead of just Leonardo.

Given that I work for them, if only I had the power to request that they make the others, I totally would.
Maybe someday we'll get a similar series that inspires more ornaments. |
