Exclamation TMNT Mutant Mayhem sequel & streaming series are in the works

A sequel is already being developed for 'TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MUTANT MAYHEM'!

Paramount and Nickelodeon will also produce 2 seasons of a streaming series that'll serve as a bridge between the films. The voice cast will reprise their roles.

Hahaha.

Of course, this means nothing if the film bombs. If Barbie holds up well, Mutant Mayhem might not even start at the top of the box office.

I'm sure sales of the toys are more responsible for this than the movie's chances.

SUPER excited for the Paramount+ show now that I know that Chris Yost is one of the showrunners. ADORED his work on Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and the 2012 Scarlet Spider run and he's not a stranger to TMNT either (having written for both the 2003 AND 2012 shows), so I'm really jazzed to see what he brings to the table heading a full TMNT series.

He's old now and a workaholic. It doesn't seem out of the question. He's still a weird choice for Splinter but then again, the origin this time makes even less sense than ever before so who cares.

He only appeared in the Live-Action segments, the voice work in the actual episodes was done by a different guy.

Actually Jackie Chan didn't voice his animated self in that cartoon. James Sie was the Jackie Chan voice in Jackie Chan Adventures

James Sie also played Jackie's character Monkey in the Kung Fu Panda show, so it'd be funny if he was Splinter in this as well.

OK, but like... Haven't we known this movie to be a glorified pilot for the next cartoon show for like two years or so already? Still, I guess the thing about the second movie is new though, I figured they would just make the movie and let the show be the main attraction once it's out of theatres, I did not imagine the sequel to be planned out.

By the way, what could be so important in the second movie that they need to establish details in a show? In other words, what do they need to do in the second movie that can't be established in the confines of the movie itself? Triceratons? The Foot Clan? The EPF? Savanti Romero? The Pantheon? We already kind of know Utroms (at least that a character named Utrom) will be in the first movie.

Paramount and Nickelodeon are getting too ahead of themselves, once again.

So after Rise bombed they're really doing another experimental TMNT series that will probably bomb too?

We're never getting a traditional TMNT show again at this point.

That is comforting. I loved his work on those as well. Optimistic.

A little comforting that they're pulling in people from other series, esp 2003.
