A second chance for Venus de Milo?

Can any of us wish Venus de Milo deserves a second chance?

If anything, instead of being someone who doesn't understand cool, I can reimagine her with K-Pop vibes.

I could think of a hundred ways to make Venus De Milo work....


..but the knee-jerk hatred reaction to the character is too strong in the fandom to attempt such a move. Which is a shame, because she could work with a new story.

I think any character has potential and deserves a second chance to shine.
So yeah, Venus appearing again in another iteration (provided they did her right) wouldn't be so bad.

The thread has been done before, but I still maintain Venus can be fine. Really depends on your story execution, though I'd rather her be a one-off character.

If written decently, maybe another appearance depending on the story told itself.

Wish I could find an old post I made quite a while ago detailing a re-imagining of her I had at the time. The basic gist of it I think was/is that she is an unrelated Turtle, possibly different species of origin, that was intentionally mutated by enemies to combat the TMNT, but was too smart and good and knew she was with bad guys and escaped. Moved away from the area, but has allied herself with the guys and will occasionally come team up and assist them. (And no magic powers... actual weapons use. Also no turtle boobs.)


edit: I could definitely see enemies deciding to try to mutate an older female turtle in hopes of gaining an advantage on size and body mass. (And even more-so another species.) Putting her into a vague older sister-like position could be cute. And sometime to bug the guys with if they're not too keen on it... lol

This is an excellent idea! I had one with her actually being a renegade member the rank, but taking the form of a turtle to seek their aid in fighting the other dragons.

We had a thread about this awhile ago, and this was my take...



Just a crazy fan-girl in a filthy tattered Turtle costume, armed with decomposing squirrel carcasses.

Of course, I wouldn't mind a (much improved) version of Venus as an occasional guest character. But, as a regular member of the group (particularly if she was still the same as on NM), then Nooo, please nooo!

Although, I'm fine if they never bring her back too.

Yeah, as mentioned, I'd likewise prefer only occasional visits/team ups, but nothing that's permanent. A good contact for the guys when they need an extra hand. Otherwise, she's typically living outside of NYC somewhere, maybe even further away, just trying to quietly exist. That way she can be around, but not annoyingly so.



And, please, no need for her to have to be someone's love interest/girlfriend... No harm in one or more of the guys having a little short term interest, or in one of them vaguely tweaking her interest a little on occasion but not necessarily enough.

It would be refreshing to skip the old need to pair a character like her up and instead give her a viewpoint that runs more along the lines of, "We're mutants, possibly hybrids, and the only ones of our kind so there isn't much point... plus, no offense, I love you guys, but you all kind of annoy me in your own ways." Being fellow mutant Turtles doesn't inevitably mean any of them will managed to be the guy for her.

If the guys at times can find an interspecies love interests they're happy being with, then so can she if she so chooses.

Venus deserves a return into something better than how she was.

Being naive and raised in Chinatown?

This needs to change. How about Koreatown? Without the culturally naive persona.
