I was familiar with Dialynas' work way before his first gig on this series, from The Woods, which sort of lost me along the way with the writing but always looked damn gorgeous. Here's hoping he'll get more of a presence on IDW TMNT in the future!

EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW: SPLINTER LEARNS THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS IN IDW'S TMNT #89
Wait... are you really Dialynas? And nobody here gave you bright green text and and "official staff/cast" ranking? This place really has gone to the dogs...

Yes, it is,but only Krang has the ability to do that. Unless the server crashes it will be Halloween unfortunately.

Not sure why the Pantheon would be so interested in getting Splinter to pull his boys together for Christmas, though.

I've a feeling that Toad Baron is going to be teaching him the true meaning of Christmas so he understands that he needs to go back to his sons. He has a realization and says he knows what must be done and decides that the only way to pull his kids out of their crippling depression is to lynch Bishop. And then he beheads someone.

Pretty much what I'm going for. Just don't know why Toad Baron would want to help . Shouldn't he be at his own Christmas party that's...probably complete insanity. Truly the halls will be decked with holly. Too much holly.

Or for that matter, Gothano (come on, he's GOTTA be Christmas Future, just look at him!) and...probably the Rat King? Not sure who else could possibly cover past. And why would the Rat King want to help after the way the turtles defeated him?

...Aka would make sense though. She's on nice enough terms with them and can do the flying scene.

I wonder if Splinter's being manipulated by the Pantheon. It sure would add up with my theories.

Though I'm guessing the rest of the Pantheon won't show up. Toad Baron's just... special, I guess? I mean, we do know that they like getting involved with mortal affairs and perhaps having one of the most powerful people in New York alive on his side and perhaps as a pawn?

That's badass. The Shredder's back to haunt Splinter, who's already emotionally unstable and on the way to become unhinged?

He's gonna behead a fool, you'll all see.

I'm actually starting to get over my "it's too soon for a Christmas issue" funk and feel really excited!

It's also cool that the first Christmas issue was all smiles, parties, games, and optimism, and this one will be angst, regret, uncertainty, and woe.

Alright, this continues looking better and better. I feel like the Shredder might actually be turning into a pretty cool dude. If this really is him, that is.

Anyway, I hope Splinter will behead him. Or anyone else, really. I don't mind.

Why is it that of all the TMNT properties out there, it's IDW that not only does A Christmas Carol...but also seems to be doing a really good job of it seeming natural to the story???

It my thought exactly. How could A Christmas Carol fit so organically into TMNT? The status quo as it is sets it up so naturally! Continuity may be thrown out the window, but the story is set up so well.
