Yeah, definitely dark side...smut and filth to be honest. I don't at all like what's inside of it and what it's about and I'm on the fence about whether I should even own it. But, it does have a place in TMNT comic book history and so it's only something I want as a collector. Outside of its collectible value, nothing inside of it has value (story, artwork, etc.) and it should really never be seen by anyone.

While reading this thread I saw there really was some controversy regarding the content of the book .
Actually I do not mind that this stuff exists as long as it is not put in the wrong hands. It is fun, it is kinda creative and if people are thrilled about these iterations, good for them . In Europe I believe we have a history with erotic comic books (mostly thanks to a bunch of Italian fellows !) but they are really different from what I know of the Japanese stuff. In my opinion, they are rather more subtle . Many are original stuff but all the classic characters (Tintin, Asterix, Smurfs...) have their erotic pastiche (always unofficial though). If you want to get rid of your copy let me know . |

At the moment I'm not interested in selling but I am curious about what its value is. I offered the guy $3,500 for his copy (about one-third of what he was asking for it) if he'd be willing to get it authenticated by sending it to Steve Lavigne (or even Kevin Eastman; I already knew Peter wouldn't want to do it - he wasn't pleased with its existence and originally refused to sign my copy). But, since the guy didn't email me back I don't know if the offer I made was insulting or if I scared him off by requiring some authentication. Any opinion on the value of this thing? |

No real idea. I would have expected several hundred dollars .
Definitely not 10.000! At the price you offered, your request was legitimate. This book appears to be really easy to counterfeit... Anyway, I probably will be printing my own copy (have to!). |

I suppose it would be if you had an original in-hand. I've seen images of the interior pages somewhere online but I wouldn't think they'd be good enough to print from...especially in good enough quality to pass for an authentic. Where would you get the pages to print it?

There was a mediafire link in this thread (http://www.mediafire.com/?8l0wq1q0tqgwfhi).
Quality is good but maybe not enough to make a believable counterfeit indeed. |

Ha! What kind of disclaimer would need to be listed inside a reprint of this thing? Probably be more like an apology for not being able to un-see it...

I'm surprised Viacom/Nick doesn't try to get it taken down.

Trending on FB? That's kind of funny. lol
For a little entertaining shock value to the general casual public whose nostalgia sources are pretty limited... eh, what the heck. |

I still wonder why there are only 10 scanned pages in the mediafire file.
It couldn't have been printed and stapled if the page count was not a multiple of 4. Rich, if you can have a look at your copy and tell us, I would be really thrilled . |

I'm wondering how many people have actually masturbated to this thing...

So, I've never actually seen this before, and I think this sums up my thoughts.
