An Overview of the Palladium RPG Sourcebooks
So, here's what I got to spend all day working on for my TMNT blog:
TMNT & Other Strangeness: An Overview of the Palladium RPG Sourcebooks Thanks to Oldmanwinters and eBay, I was able to acquire all the volumes in the Palladium RPG TMNT series. I don't game, so I never bothered with these things in the past, but a PDF of "Transdimensional TMNT" with all its profiles and crazy-alternate takes on characters from the Mirage comic pretty much reeled me in. It was a lot of fun reading through these things, even if I'm RPG-illiterate, and the art is most of the earlier volumes is superb. I'd never seen most of it, either, so it was a real treat. Anyhow, it's always exciting for me to find something completely new in TMNT and these things were surprisingly fascinating. |

I enjoyed reading your post here. You may equally enjoy reading this one as it is about metal miniatures that were used for role playing games (perhaps even used with the books you are discussing in your blog?):

I knew about the metal miniatures but never actually saw them. There were advertisements in very early issues of the Mirage comic, but those ads actually only featured drawings of the miniatures and not photographs. And I had no clue they made miniatures of Doc Feral and the Terror Bears! Very cool. Thanks! |

The Palladium books are pretty cool and I would love to actually find some other TMNT fans from around Indy to play with. The only one I own though is the first one, want to get the rest though.

It was my pleasure to help you complete your collection! And don't worry, I plan on scanning you the controversial "mental insanity" page from the first edition of TMNT & Other Strangeness tonight!
This is a fantastically written article full of great information!

Is that the page with sexual deviations that was removed from later editions?

I updated the article today thanks to Oldmanwinter, who sent me scans of the three pages on mental disorders that were edited out of the later printings.
I included a screenshot as an example of what these pages were like in my update. Hooooooly crap are they hilarious. |

The ability to implement such ideas actually make a TMNT RPG more interesting to me. Anybody wanna start a thread for a forum-wide game based off the original book?

Read the article at work today whilst bored, yet another great piece, Spengs. Gotta coupla they books myself, and i'm much the same - love for the art and sidestories, don't have a clue about the gaming itself - way over my head. Kevin Long's art is great!
