Awesome I cant wait its going to take a long time for the next Legendary movie to come out so seeing the original handlers of Godzilla will be more then enough to tide me over. Sure they are pretty low budget then the Hollywood pictures and they use suites but I love those movies.

Fresh fandom wars will ignite over the alternatives on offer, but that's half the fun

I was seldomly excited until I saw the trailer. I had already seen the design and had mixed feelings but wow I'm sold. This isn't my favorite Godzilla design aesthetically since he looks terrifying and out of a horror movie. But that's great for what this is a movie where Godzilla is scary, I mean I can't think of a single movie where I legit thought he freaked me out attacking the city. At this point I don't even care for the new American Godzilla, the 2014 movie was definitely disappointing, I have no desire to really watch it again and the sequel shoving in more than 1 monster and one of them being King Ghidorah doesn't get me to excited and neither does the Kong sharing universe with the new American Godzilla. |

New design is fine but his arms are too small. I know T-rex (real dino) had small arms but it's just kinda odd here. His legs/hips have always been too big imo.

Absolutely in love with that trailer. If anyone else here also posts on Toho Kingdom (terrible forum but about the only active giant monster game in town), I've been giving it a lot of praise there as well.
Some reservations about the human shots, but stylistically it's completely exceeded my expectations. I was also veeeeery lukewarm on the 2014 movie, and that might be generous. |

Too much tail, not enough arm. But I love the design otherwise, it's so demonic, truly worthy of fear. Looks to be a dope movie! I'm psyched to see Jun Kunimura is in it.

Jesus, I'm on board. I've been a huge Godzilla fan all of my life, and this is why.
Negatives: -Arms and tail. That's about it. Positives: -Godzilla looks like a walking version of hell. This is absolutely ****ing FANTASTIC. -It looks dark, just like the directors promised. -The scale. The only movie that really did a good job depicting Godzilla's size was the '54 original. This makes him look gigantic and I love it. -By Japanese standards, that CG is incredible. |

What's going on with his tail? I know they made fun of US Godzilla for being too fat, but I'm not too sure this is a huge improvement.
The movie looks pretty cool otherwise – it’s about a million miles from Final Wars in tone by the looks.

If memory serves, the director of this film is Hideaki Anno, who is best known for "Evangelion."

They're killing it with crossover merch. I'd love to see something like it happen in a video feature.
Spoiler:
Some examples.

NECA also revealed a figure that I'll be picking up when it releases next year. I'd love to get EVAzilla but it's probably out of my price range atm.
