Loved it. Better than the first, imo, which I also love.

Not a new release by any means but Wedding Daze was on Comedy Central today... Perhaps I just didn't get it, but this movie was the biggest piece of **** I've seen in a long time.

Super 8

My expectations for this were way too high. Not saying it's a bad movie, it just wasn't what I was expecting (or maybe hoping) it would be. It was more "Stand By Me" meets "Cloverfield" than anything remotely Spielberg.

Also, it would be nice if Abrams could come up with a different monster design. The creature in this, Cloverfield, and Star Trek are all way too similar. And it's a design I really dislike.

Finally saw X-Men: First Class.

Hot diggity damn, that was a awesome flick.

Magneto was so cool, I was actually rooting for him and his cause. Professor X was a straight up P-I-M-P. Mystique actually looked good in her true form, which is a coincidence. Beast was a beast (snicker).

But Shaw was an straight up great villian.

Overall, I loved it. Definitely my favorite X-Men movie.

Saw X-Men origins: Magneto... I mean X-Men: First Class.

It was a good film all in all.

For me it ranks as the second best X-Men film, had it sorted it's continuity problems or been a remake I think it could have been the better of the five films

Spoiler:
Magneto was no doubt the Wolverine of the movie, thought awesome it felt a little too much at times. The effects where very well made, except for Angel's acid attack it looked more like explosive spit then acid.

I liked Beast, it was a mix between the Second version and the third version of Beast in the comics. we have 2 more films to go, but he have to revert back to human appearance being it's canon with the rest of the films.

Mystique looked good, but I didn't get why she joined Magneto. It felt rushed and just weird. And I didn't feel any sorry for the mutants for being different. Hank have big feet, so what? He can easily use large shoes and be with it, even Angel looked hot in the movie a very different turn from her original comic designs (she got hot after losing her powers)

Seeing Xavier being as he was in the film was a little humorous and the hair joke was fun the first time. Getting parallelized in the film was weird seeing he can walk in the Wolverine film since it's not a reboot, but more so yet it again felt rushed and could have happened with a later film.

Magneto falling out with Charles as well felt too soon and rushed and should rather have been built over the course of the new trilogy. but i guess it could be because pf the uncertainty of making a trilogy they just blew it all out.

Azazel was the Sabertooth (movie 1) of the movie which disappointed me. January Jones was not very impressive as Emma Frost.
Kevin Bacon was great as Shaw, thought he could have been equally great as a older Banshee (he at least got the looks)

Scenes in trailers not appearing in the movie isn't really anything new.

My thoughts exactly! I think Shen was even better bad guy than Tai Lung.

I've debated Human Centipede, I can't bring myself to do it...

I'm working through my DVD collection: Finished the movie series with at least 3 films in them from the top shelf of my collection...except the 4 movies that make up X-men franchise...not sure why they're not up top....maybe room...
Now that those are done, on the the alphabetical list, starting with Abraxas: Guardian of the Universe.

If you know the premise, you know that what happens is a f*cked up thing, but it's really not graphic at all. Go for it.

Seriously. Human Centipede is one of the most disappointing movies I've ever seen. The premise is more ****ed up than the movie is.
