Not a new release by any means but Wedding Daze was on Comedy Central today... Perhaps I just didn't get it, but this movie was the biggest piece of **** I've seen in a long time.

Super 8
My expectations for this were way too high. Not saying it's a bad movie, it just wasn't what I was expecting (or maybe hoping) it would be. It was more "Stand By Me" meets "Cloverfield" than anything remotely Spielberg. Also, it would be nice if Abrams could come up with a different monster design. The creature in this, Cloverfield, and Star Trek are all way too similar. And it's a design I really dislike.

Finally saw X-Men: First Class.
Hot diggity damn, that was a awesome flick. Magneto was so cool, I was actually rooting for him and his cause. Professor X was a straight up P-I-M-P. Mystique actually looked good in her true form, which is a coincidence. Beast was a beast (snicker). But Shaw was an straight up great villian. Overall, I loved it. Definitely my favorite X-Men movie.

Saw X-Men origins: Magneto... I mean X-Men: First Class.
It was a good film all in all. For me it ranks as the second best X-Men film, had it sorted it's continuity problems or been a remake I think it could have been the better of the five films Spoiler:

Predators. I rather enjoyed it! But where was the scene in the trailer when one've the characters has like a sh*t-ton of red targets all over him? Didn't happen!

Scenes in trailers not appearing in the movie isn't really anything new.

My thoughts exactly! I think Shen was even better bad guy than Tai Lung.

I've debated Human Centipede, I can't bring myself to do it...
I'm working through my DVD collection: Finished the movie series with at least 3 films in them from the top shelf of my collection...except the 4 movies that make up X-men franchise...not sure why they're not up top....maybe room... Now that those are done, on the the alphabetical list, starting with Abraxas: Guardian of the Universe.

If you know the premise, you know that what happens is a f*cked up thing, but it's really not graphic at all. Go for it.

I saw it advertised as I was leaving my job as a video manager...and I saw the South Park episode...I may have to rent it and see if Angela will sit through it with me...

Seriously. Human Centipede is one of the most disappointing movies I've ever seen. The premise is more ****ed up than the movie is.

Working on the Ace Ventura movies. Pet Detective done, half way through with When Nature Calls. Is it me or is he more of a douche in WNC?
