That's a good movie in my opinion. Excellent cast, amazing action, good soundtrack.

Watched Jackie Chan's "Police Story" the other night. Ok movie. The story was kinda blah, and the comic situations not very funny. However, the action was top notch Chan, and it has the infamous slide down the light pole. Didn't like, 50,000 light bulbs give their lives in the making of this movie? What I don't get: the cover of the DVD shows Chan with a semiautomatic pistol, but in the movie all they use are revolvers. Bonus: Jackie in the shower. Woo woo!

'Lady In The Water' for the first time last night. I now see the downward spiral Night is on a bit more clearly. If I think of it like he was trying to mimic Henson w/o the use of puppets, it was a sorta decent effort. But, it seemed just so random and thrown together...

I've been wanting to see that one. Did you see it in the theater or what?

Police Story III is my fav

Armour of God (Indy Jones wannabe)
Wheels on Meals
Rumble in the Bronx

Those are among my fav JC films......

I like the film, but no, it doesn't rock. It "pops" since ABBA was mainly a pop group, not a rock group.

Watched The Testament of Dr. Mabuse, which was a near flawless effort by Fritz Lang. I'd recommend it, especially for those of you looking for a crime horror type of foreign film.

And later, I watched The Beast Must Die, which kept me engaged and I thought the film's blaxploitation element worked well. Plus, the interactive aspect was really neat because I felt it encouraged the viewer to think about who the werewolf was until it was revealed later in the movie.

Yesterday, I watched Red Dawn, which was a lot of fun. I think it would've been a bit better if the pacing was sped up just a bit.

Just watched the 1982 film Countryman. It's about a Jamaican fisherman who is unwittingly caught up with international espionage when he rescues two people from a plane that crashes near his village. During his struggle to try and protect these people, he shows a magical ability in hand to hand combat. Features a reggae soundtrack.

THIS MOVIE WAS AWESOME.

At the theatre, I saw Chronicles of Narnia II and Iron Man in the same day.
That was at the slightly out-of-date cinema theatre. Saw Cocoon on AMC today. Didn't bother with Cocoon II.

You silly's, the one with one with Vin Diesel and Samuel L Jackson.

Just got done watching Transformers, now I'm watching The Island. It's too hot to do anything outside, and the beach is a no go, too choppy of a surf right now because of all the aquatic activity swirling around out there. Got up, and the news says there are two more developing storms heading our way, after Hannah, and we haven't even gotten through Gustav yet! I miss El Nino!

Watched the Cinema Insomnia version of Monster from a Prehistoric Planet yesterday and the actual movie wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. I think the camp aspects added to the fun of the movie.

Later, my dad and I watched A Fistful of Dollars, which was a superb western. I didn't seem to mind the fact that it was a remake of Yojimbo, which is considered a classic as well.
