Well to his defense he didn't exactly say that the fight scenes were like the matrix. He named those films as benchmarks, and that bc of films like that they felt like they had to up the ante from previous TMNT films to compete with the action movies of today. At least that's what I got out of it. I hope we don't get " Matrix style" fight sequences in the new movie. Id rather have TMNT style fights. Judging by the stunt doubles and fight teams involved, I think it looks promising

to the credit of the matrix, some of the fights were actually done really well. the teahouse fight between Neo, and Seraph was really exciting. albeit brief.

I DO NOT like heavy wire work - cant stand it...never liked it when people were drooling over it in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and I still dont like it now.
