What ways do you think Rise could've further explore the Yokai/Mystic angle?

Like the whole yokai concept .

I know that term yokai in this series seems interchangeable with mutant but I think the mutants in this case would actually fall under either Hanyo/Hanyokai which loosely translate to "half demon/half human." they all have part human dna to a extent.

The term Hanyo is actually new term created in modern anime that deals with japan folklore like InuYasha and I can help but feel that just fits to describe the mutant situation in this show since in they kinda just pop into existence.

I would have really love to see how the rest of the Yokai community view mutants if they had realized what they really were since Baron Draxum himself doesn't have kind view on humans and I willing to bet that he wasn't the only one.

So do you think they would have openly accept them like the slime yokai, view them as unwelcome outsiders, or exploit them like Big Mama in her Battle Nexus since most of them were probably homeless/living in really crappy apartments and would do anything to get by?

I would say that, if nothing else, it does solve the problem of having a ton of no-turtle mutants running around simply because Playmates wants to sell toys... If the show didn't have a ton of mutants and the finale implying the Yokai are just mutants unaware of their true nature...

I don't know, maybe go back to the idea of most humanoid things being aliens like in 4Kids instead?

Because being the only turtle humanoids running around is part of their Pathos, and it's best to not ruin that image, right?
