I got a new job. I'm pretty excited about it. I got a lot of nice art in the mail. And I just spent the past two hours rearranging my living room and I'm super happy with it. Yay lots of change. |

I had lunch with an awesome lady friend. I hadn't spoken to her in years, but it was just really nice to reconnect. Almost as if we had never lost contact. And I got a bunch of TMNT comics, as well as my new credit card
Today was just a good day

So far so good. Had a couple hiccups but it's moving in the right direction.

Rearranged and culled out my nerd shrine and I'm much happier with it. Still waiting on some things in the mail, but I'm really satisfied with how its coming out.

Ha ha, thanks. Babylon 5 is my boyfriend's favorite show so I can't take credit for that, although I enjoy it as well. Our cat's name is Delenn. :3

So our dog just murdered a tennis ball. Flat-out ripped it to shreds. He likes to catch 'em, jump in the air and snag 'em. So my wife tosses him one, he lays down in the grass with it, holds it firmly in his paws and tears the felt off in strips with his teeth, spitting the tatters on the ground in disdain. He then did the same thing to the rubber ball itself.
He does stuff like that all the time. Then he gets tuckered out. Vicious.

Aww, he's adorable! Our kitty Angel was just playing with one of her toy mice, tossing it around, batting it across the floor, stalking it, and catching it in her mouth. She's so cute when she tries to act like a vicious predator.

I have to say my guilty forum pleasure is when people rage at that kid shredder orokusaki, because he's getting all the attention he craves and its just hilarious to see people get so butthurt over a kid who can't spell pretending to be Shredder. XD Also, I was able to sell my NYCC badge back for full ticket price to the guy who runs Midtown Comic's afterparties (thus granting myself free VIP status this year) and get an exhibitor badge from the owner of Cadence gallery, cause he's my bro. A really good day. |

Today I officially got hired for a full-time contracted teacher position after 4 difficult years of hunting for permanent work. Very excited and humbled at the same time to be starting this new chapter of my life!

My Ragdoll tries very hard to be a predator, but the breed is so placid. Your cat sounds quite comfortable with alpha status, similar to my Tonkinese who was the runt of his litter. It's hilarious when said Ragdoll's older buddy who's twice as small as he is tries to play chase with him. He stops running after a minute, jumps up into whichever lap he can find, and cries for a few seconds. Then he tries to hide behind whoever he's sitting with, but he's so tall and his big fluffy feather duster of a tail makes him stick out like a sore thumb. You'd think he'd be the dominant alpha due to how tall he is when standing on all fours, or how thick with muscle he is, but he's not alpha material at all. He usually wants everybody to come hide with him when the guys in Fort Hood are conducting artillery practice, so you'll see this huge paw coming out from under a bed to pull you over to him. lol

Well, Angel is the only kitty in the house. My other two are with my mom. But of the two, Ash is the bigger, but he always defers to his mama. Demona still gets respect from her boy, LOL! They both spend most of their time outside, and they both like to hunt. They keep the mice at bay out at my mom's place.

Love when you order something and it shows up faster than expected. Four days, thumbs up to you, seller. Got a great deal on it too.
Anyhow, I'd grabbed this "Where's the Zombie?" book for someone's b-day. Basically like Where's Waldo, but a zombie outbreak instead, with a zombie family of eight and their two zombie pets to hunt for, and each page is a dated news headline as it gets worse and worse, becoming an epidemic. I think this will be a hit with the intended zombie fan; funner book than I even expected, some of the things going on in the scenes... |

That sounds like a neat book, Indigo! where did you find it? Also, some of my items came in sooner than expected, as well, and now the boys have their sofa, and the lair has some new decorations! It's really starting to come together, now. Dojo is almost done, next is the kitchen!
