Moana - Disney animated film

Didn't see a thread for this.

Quote:
Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one knows why.

From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds, and along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she’s always sought: her own identity. Directed by the renowned filmmaking team of Ron Clements and John Musker (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” “The Princess & the Frog”) and produced by Osnat Shurer (“Lifted,” “One Man Band”), “Moana” sails into U.S. theaters on Nov. 23, 2016.
First poster was just released and the first trailer is coming this Sunday.

Well, it's got The Rock in it... so yeah, I'm pretty interested.

Wow. That was impressive.

Hard to believe just ten years ago Disney was producing stuff like

I daresay that if this film is as good as it looks, it could be on par with Pixar's level of quality.

Disney has passed Pixar. Frozen, Tangled, and Zootopia have all been better than Good Dinosaur, Finding Dory, and Inside Out.

Yup. I'd have to agree with you. Conditionally... haven't seen "Dory" yet.

Don't forget Big Hero 6 and Wreck-It Ralph... Disney has been KILLING it.

Inside Out is the best movie from Pixar / Disney Animation this decade but everything else from DA (Frozen, Tangled, Ralph, Big Hero 6, Zootopia) is better than the rest from Pixar (Cars 2, Brave, Monsters U, Good Dino, Dory).

Disney has been killin' it recently. Anything with the Rock has to be enjoyable. He's such a loveable guy that's dedicated as all hell.

I can't wait to see this one.

I think Inside Out was good but I like Frozen, Wreck It Ralph, Brave, Toy Story 3, Zootopia, Big Hero 6, and Tangled better.

I really, really liked Monsters University. Part of it I guess has to do with really agreeing with the film's message.

The film had a message? I did fall asleep half way through, though. All I remember is that the short blue one had a jacket.
