Agreed, it is looking awesome. I'd have to go look at the cover to see the April issue though...

Wow, that cover art looks great! I might be interested in doing a page for issue 3 (if it happens)!

I submitted my page, so I'm not worried, but has a "late deadline" been set yet for those who haven't submitted? It seems like there's no rush, but I remember last project had a pretty strict deadline.

If Ulisses needs held with Page 13, perhaps we could arrange a "community project" where different artists draw different panels. I'd have a hard time make the three bottom panels look unique if it was just my art style, since they are all close up pics of his face.

I take it you've decided to go with more "Fred Wolf" style than Mirage this time around, eh?
Well - for the #1 cover I did a fairly faithful (I think) Fred Wolf style cover. This time I'm going for a more TMNT Adventures look, with a Ken Mitchroney look to the faces and to April.

Speaking of April, her legs on the original Corben painting are kind of spread open, which worked fine for him because he's a fantastic painter and the pattern of black spaces looked good. Mine won't have the same distribution of blacks because of the animation cel look of the characters, and plus I just can't draw that without it looking weird. So I'm moving her legs. Probably show just as much boob though.

I'll post an inked drawing when I have one finished!

Raven, I love how you drew Raphael in that pic! The mousers chomping through the walls are a really cool effect, too!

Ah, I can see the Mitchroney influence now! I think your style does have certain similarities to his (exaggerated, toony expressions).

I think your first pic that stuck closer to the original layout was looking pretty good, but I agree with your point that the original pose would be harder to replicate with an "animation cel" coloring style.

I can do it alone, but I will have it done only next month perhaps... I can´t manage to commit with a dead end.... let me try if no one says that will do it instead of me, I see that there are many other delayed...

Ever since Azrael posted that sample panel from the then-unclaimed page, I've really come to think the "collaboration page" is a genius idea. In the original instance, Nelson came to the rescue with an awesome page of his own. Ulissess seems to be confident enough to finish his workload too.

But I'd hate to see Azrael's panel go to waste...

So what are the chances we could throw in another "bonus" page that includes random panels from throughout the issue rendered in various styles?

I don't necessarily think Master Splinter should have to burden himself further by lettering them, but they might make for a cool amalgamation page thrown in at the end.

Sounds like a good idea to me. We already are gonna have two covers, so why not some bonus pages.

I'll be working on finishing my pages right after I've completed the Voice over project of issue 1.

Sorry I couldn't everything in time, but I had a huge month.

I should be able to submit my pages in a few days.

He was sort of a dick about the first issue you guys did, wasn't he? All like, "I wouldn't have done that, that's too much," instead of being, like, "Hey! This is great guys! Rock on!"

Ass.

Er...no, not how I remember it. He was really cool and made a blog post showcasing the work. He said one or two things were over the top, because some of it was and he's entitled to say that about a remix of his own creation, don't ya think?

I think he wanted the more remixing instead of us coping the layouts
