Don't know how many of you know Marvel Comics' Inhumans, but I'm a huge fan. I originally made the team around 2 1/2 years ago, but I've only recently finished the final member...

Lockjaw:

Well, this was probably the biggest challenge I've ever set myself... I started Lockjaw in August 2010, and finished him December 2012, although there was quite a bit of procrastination along the way... Rather than a huge write-up, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

Started with a rough skeleton...

Bulking out the frame...

Reworked some of the artic, and refined the sculpt...

The finished article! All the sculpting was done in either Milliput, Apoxie or a blend of both. To be honest, I'm not totally happy with him, but short of a total rebuild he's as good as he's gonna get. He's got a decent amount of articulation - ball & socket feet & torso, swivel shoulders, hinge knees and a swivel/hinge neck. I'd probably add ball shoulders if I was redoing him, but it's not like he's going to get a whole load of posing.

Here's a few that I've done over the past few months that I'm proud of.

Tasha - a figure based on a late friend of mine.

Sentinel-X - from the recent X-Men: Battle of the Atom crossover event.

Superman Blue - a look for Supes that I felt was underrated.

Double - from Skullgirls

Black Lantern Swamp Thing - from Brightest Day

Sadako from Ringu

Rogue Marvel vs. Capcom 2 version

Slender Man

Handmade 1/6th sonic for some incoming Tom Baker Figures. I wanted one to have a sonic with retracting emitter head. I am sure the one that comes with the figure is great but had to do something while waiting for the parcel guy. Used various size aluminum tube, a glass bead and the tip from a pen. Think this method would make a cool spyglass also.

I'm not sure if just repainting some areas on a figure counts as a "custom", but I didn't really know where to post it, so have a Digimon!

Never done anything like this before. Was fun, would do again

Do custom plushies count? Because I finished this and would like to show it off:

It's a baby Digimon, Punimon.

So I dabble in this sometimes, but I finally just about finished a figure I've been working on for a while, Jakks RA-scale "Macho Man" Randy Savage!

Mattel has put out a ton of great Macho Man figures, but Jakks never produced a single one, so while I have a huge Jakks collection it was always going to be incomplete without this guy! Just for fun, here's a Mattel 1980s-style Macho Man alongside my Jakks custom:

The attire is based on the classic WWF Hasbro Macho Man figure from 1990. I assembled it from a bearded Charlie Haas head and a Triple H body; pretty much any really muscular Jakks body will do, but I chose the Triple H body specifically because it had a taped fist and the right kind of knee pads. The entire figure was repainted by hand, including the stars and letters on the boots and trunks (which were a huge pain in the ass). I used a deep tan on the skin and then went over it with a wash of dark brown to give it more texture; it looks darker than most of the Jakks figures, but it also looks more natural and less like plastic, which is what I was going for, especially since Savage was extremely tan so a pale figure simply wouldn't do. I made the hair longer with Apoxie-Sculpt; I'd never used it before but I'm very happy with how it came out. For the hair I used a very dark brown, a black wash for texture, and then dry-brushed it with a slightly lighter brown for a little bit of a highlight effect.

Overall, I've seen better Jakks Macho Man customs but I've also seen a lot worse, and it came out way better than I'd hoped for. I've done a few repaint jobs but never anything this extensive, so I'm pretty happy with it. I'm just waiting on a robe, sunglasses and headgear and it'll be 100% done.
There's a ton of other Jakks customs I plan to do, including several more Macho Man outfits, like his nWo one. But I knew this had to be the first one I did.

It took a lot more work than I expected due to the painting of the small details, but it came out way better than I thought it might.

I've been working on a few figures at once since I found a bunch of fodder figures for cheap.

Here's a repaint of a Jakks Classic Superstars Mr. Perfect. The default figure came in orange, but he never really wore that one very much so I hooked him up with his blue outfit:

This one took more work: Jakks "Deluxe Impact"-scale Kevin Nash in his Halloween Havoc 1996 attire:

For this, I took a Deluxe Impact Nash, swapped the head with a Classic Superstars Nash/Diesel figure, and then repainted the head and the outfit. All in all I'm pretty thrilled with it; it might be my favorite Nash figure in my collection, honestly.

I did my first LJN repaint project, as I decided to fix up my Hulk Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savage figures. They turned out really well; these figures are super-easy to work on.

Here's what they looked like after I washed them, but otherwise in the condition I bought them in:

And here's what they looked like after being scrubbed with nail polish remover and repainted:
