NECA confirmed via Twitter that the final product will not have gaps in the elbows - stressing the nameplate said *not final

I apologize if this has been answered previously, but:
1) Will there be Exclusive Editions? 2) Do we know who the next Turtle is/when they will be released? |

The prototype Donnie is amazing...
... it never occurred to me to curb my enthusiasm until I'd seen what the other three turtles look like. What makes you say Raph? |

They said they where doing the final touches on Leo's sculpt, shouldn't he be next?

I find it interesting that they went with Donatello first. Maybe they can show Playmates that Donnie will sell when you actually put effort into your product.

Interestingly Sideshow also released him first in their statue set and he's definitely the hardest to get.i love Donny but it seems like he's the turtle to test the market on cause you can get away with making a lower number. Don't know.

There has to be something to the 'Donatello is the worst selling Turtle' thing... what would Playmates have to gain making it up?

I have no insight. I just figured since there are already Raph molds and sculpts out there that they would make him next.
Logically though, I could see them doing Leo, Mikey, and then Raph in terms of release. We will see I guess. Cant wait! |

I would be happy with Leonardo or Raphael next. Leo was always my favorite after Donatello. Something tells me they went with Donatello first just to get him out, and after this they may go from most popular to least popular, so I could actually see Raphael or Michelangelo being next. But if they finalizing sculpts on Leo, then that probably means he's next.
I contacted Randy from NECA about the elbow gap. I heard people saying on the forums that it wouldn't be on the final figure, but I needed to hear that from the source. I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. He got back to me with this: And I know that it says "prototype", but I also know some final figures can end up worse than the prototype, not better. |

Why would anyone even consider thinking that the elbow gap would be a part of the final product?
That's just silly, this isn't Playmates. |

I'm glad you asked the question. I appreciate the peace of mind.
I know it's a long shot, but I would LOVE a trenchcoated-variant of Raph. ... in fact, I'd prefer it if I could only pick one. |

Amazing how that is the same answer I gave you. And I know that it says "prototype", but I also know some final figures can end up worse than the prototype, not better.[/QUOTE] Considering this proto is 1:6th scale I don't see them screwing it up when they up size it. My one concern is will they do all four. I have an army of gorilla soldiers forever waiting reinforcements. Last edited by mikeyatemypizza; 02-21-2016 at 12:21 PM. |

Gah!
I keep coming back here looking for news. Over the last few days I have fully justified 18" turtles, and convinced myself that they won't look out of place in my collection (even though they totally will). |

Generally my partner draws the line on me getting the really expensive collector figures (she just doesn't see the value) but I am gonna have to tell her that these are something that can't be passed up. I'll just tell her straight up that as the man of the house I am making the decision and she will just have to accept it. Then after I buy her something reasonably expensive to get her to stop being mad at me I'm sure she will be ok with it. |
