Specifically, the Planescape campaign setting, which features, among other planar oddities, a sentient living world capable of creating self-willed humanoid "children" (split-off parts of itself) to explore and learn about the multiverse. Thiscould be something similar- where one of them went out, found Earth and fell in love before returning home to be reabsorbed.

I was thinking about Legion from Castlevania. What if Ego consists of billions of Kurt Russels!

Love it. Wonder if we'll see anything resembling that scene in the movie?

So is Groot actually going to be small for the entire movie? I didn't think they'd do it, but judging by all of the pictures released so far, it looks that way

I enjoyed GotG, but not enough to say I'm super stoked for this. I'll definitely watch it, but it's kind of a "meh" affair.

I am insanely hyped. GotG has so far been my favorite Marvel movie, and the fact that they're keeping the same creative team instead of switching things up has me super-stoked and confident.

Ooga chaka ooga chaka

Same. For what it was, it was pretty entertaining but it's not a movie I'd watch twice like the other MCU films. Funny how people around my job were comparing the TMNT 2014 film to the first GotG since one was released a week after the other. At least we all agreed that GotG was better.
