Not sure I thought it was denying Arizona but he didn';t say anything about California cause of San Dimas .

The article states: "Furthermore, as we earlier reported, filming will take place in Los Angeles, Tempe & Phoenix, AZ. its currently unknown which location the team would first begin filming in." So perhaps they are starting in March, but in LA.

In any case, if funding is secured it's just a matter of time before an official announcement.

and didn't rehash the time travel bit, so it didn't feel like a retread like GB2.

This has definitely been a passion project of his for eons, though. Even before the John Wick movies started it wasn't like he was hurting for money or anything.

I'll take them at their word but it's not particularly reassuring that the last update is from May of last year that it's "officially happening" and it's almost a full year later and there's no shoot dates yet.

Except that 30 years later, we quite clearly haven't achieved universal harmony through the power of Rock N Roll and Air Guitar. I for one demand an explanation.

My pet theory is that Rufus died in-universe way before he should have, setting off a ripple effect that prevented Bill and Ted from taking that one final, crucial step that would have clinched the whole deal.

We'll see.

Awesome! i've been waiting for this for a long time and been a fan of Bill and Ted for 30 years since i was 7 when i saw the first movie in theaters and 9 when i saw the second one in theaters, this should be a nice comeback to complete the story.

It's already been mentioned in several places that the basic plot is about figuring out what went wrong, and why what was supposed to happen, didn't happen. There's apparently a reason why Wyld Stallyns didn't conquer the universe as expected, and that's what we're going to learn.

Not really. We saw a bunch of tongue-in-cheek newspaper clippings and that's all. The last thing we physically saw, was Bill & Ted onstage at the Battle of the Bands. All that other stuff during the credits could have simply existed in the original timeline - the one that didn't happen now, for reasons this films is set to explain.

I'd be willing to bet that, like most people, it was simply the decision to have kids that ruined everyone's life and doomed the future. After all, at NO point in the first two films did anyone from the future say anything about their kids. They're probably not supposed to exist, and that was the schism point that fractured the timeline. Probably a "Mommy was gonna be a doctor, but instead I had YOU" type of scenario.

Or something else. I'unno, we'll see. This is pretty much the only movie I'm excited about for the foreseeable future. I'm annoyed that the studio wouldn't agree to make it unless Bill and Ted had daughters instead of sons, but whatever, that might just be incidental in the big picture. We'll see what happens.
