Video game ideas you drew and had when you were younger
Back in the 1990's, video games weren't always accessible to children 24–7–365. Yes, you could play whenever you wanted, but with many of us having a limited number of video games, playing the same few titles all the time wasn't fun.
Toileting meant reading video game magazines and school breaks meant discussing them, but another fun thing to do after school was sitting at a table drawing. Often, this meant making up and drawing video games, starting with a title screen and the playable character, before drawing level by level, cut scenes and end scenes. Personally, I would draw: Action games (usually hack and slash, shoot 'em up or walk and punch, both original ideas and already existing ones, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Levels took place on various locations around Earth, and on other planets. Even some versus fighting (not TMNT). Adventure games (tried a Zelda with maps, sidescrolling video games better fitted for paper) Platform games (including Mario and even a crossover with Sonic, I think, back in mid 1993) Last edited by Original TMNT Cartoon Fan; 09-09-2024 at 11:14 AM. |
