Gunstar_Red's Art Corner
Hello! Welcome to my gallery of sorts. As long as I've been a fan, surprisingly I've never really drew any TMNT fan art before until late last year. It all started with an art trade.
(Original character warning. ) Spoiler:
As you can see, I wasn't all that great drawing Donatello (he's kinda based on the Nicktoon and action figure), but it did interest me to keep doodling and practicing. After a few months, in December I decided I wanted to draw a TMNT holiday card to send out to my friends. Spoiler:
In January, this became a thing. Spoiler:
And this month, February, I finished these guys. Spoiler:
Spoiler:
I don't think I'm getting bored drawing them yet and I'm glad of it. They are fun to draw. I unfortunately make them look too cute most of the time and especially the art I decide to digitally color. (Coloring any of my art is completely new to me and I see it's a learning process!) I'm going to try to step out of that trend in my next drawing... hopefully. ^^; If anyone is interested in art trades or have an idea for a short comic, I'm game! Just shoot me a PM. I've been wanting to draw a TMNT comic for a while now, but I don't have any good ideas and that I'm not that great at writing. Sorta off topic, if anyone is interested in seeing my (terribly incomplete) Venture Bros comic, I'll post it. It would show how I would probably go about drawing a TMNT comic. ^_^; Anyways, if you made it through all that rambling and things I call art, thank you for looking! I'll update this topic whenever I have something new to share! ^_^

Oh man, you have such a great style! I'm in love with that Leo and Don pic, they're adorable. Especially Don's face. Love it!!

Whoa! All this love all at once! Thank you all three of you! ^_^
I have a couple of new drawings in my sketchbook but I haven't had the time to scan and color them because of work hours. Hopefully, I'll have something to share by the end of the month. Riel, that one is probably my favorite too. I learnt a new trick on coloring with that one. So it is held in a special place with me. I've been still experimenting on what style feels comfortable with me, but I seem to keep coming back to this mashup. I just wish I could draw more gritty looking designs... ^^; |
