I was kind of thinking about what Slash (or maybe Tokka) would be in this show. IDW and Nick both went the idea that he was way bigger than the other mutant turtles, and the excuse was that he mutated from a bigger species of turtle. In IDW it was an Alligator Snapping Turtle and in Nick it was some kind of pet tortoise (Greek?).

Here I'm not sure. The alligator snapping turtle is already taken and pet tortoises aren't very big in comparison. Here he'd basically have to be one of those Galapagos Tortoises. At which point he'd have to be absurdly big.

Maybe even go so far as to make him an Archelon.

I don't think they'll get to Slash for it to matter. I'm guessing they'll deal with mostly new foes and only the bigger names will end up appearing so Shredder will eventually be in the show then Krang, Rocksteady/Beebop and then cancelled after the second season begins airing. So no slash.

It's very possible. This show seems to have sprinkles of The Ninja Tribunal and Fast Forward seasons.

I wondered the same thing, it is set before they are trained, but Shredder was Shredder before.. I don't know at what point exactly? but even before the turtles were teens I assume. They could do something like that I suppose. it wouldn't surprise me if they chose to have him as 2nd or a lower rank or something when he eventually comes to start with, but not sure. I'm still wondering if he's the guy at the top who you only hear of (and not by name) at first until he eventually shows up. (still bearing in mind that these are stand alone eps.... mostly)

This is the only place I can ask this and hopefully get a response. I've watched videos with the crew how we'd get the turtles we know and love now including Leo being leader and that Shredder would show up at some point, my guess is it will all be connected some how since I read Raph jumps into things without thinking and since we all know the type of villain Shredder is that won't be good.

My question to you guys is when do you all think this will start to happen? Season one final or beginning of season two? This I'm actually interested in now.

I don't see them wanting to rush into it given they're doing so many new things, but nobody knows.

I'm hoping season one final and that during the training sessions we get peaks of Leader ish Leo

This new information actually peaks my interest of the series now. Seeing this type of Leo grow into the oneci adore would be pretty fun to watch.

We're likely to see Leo grow into becoming a leader in this series, a lot of the interviews with the directors and summaries also says, "Raph *starts off* as the leader" implying it's likely not permanent. We also know Leo starts off carefree and laid back, but most likely he will grow into his natural born role over the course of Season 1.

It's one of my "predictions" of Season 1, and more often than not my predictions tend to come true.

Yah that's what I gathered from the interviews and information we've got about Leo, I'm really curious too how he will go from carefree to the serious leader Leo we know. I'm also curious how he will sharpen his sword skills, my guess is when he starts taking things seriously.

I wonder how Leo/Splinter's relationship will build up?

You also saw my story in the 2012 series and how i became The Shredder when the turtles traveled in time and met me before i become The Shredder.
