Don't He-Man fans blame She-Ra for killing He-Man? I'm not sure that's true but I saw it on that The Toys That Made Us Netflix show. If this She-Ra cartoon is revives He-Man wouldn't that be ironic after so many failed attempts?
I'm guessing the cartoon is going to be trash though. All Netflix original cartoons are really bad and go for really young age groups. The only one that breaks the mold is Voltron which is also a Dreamworks deal like this one so I guess there's a chance but people should place their expectations accordingly. |

art looks like crap. looks even worse blown up.
EVERY show has a stylized Teen Titans Go type look these days and i'm getting awful tired of it. She-Ra looks like she's supposed to be 12. yet it's been mentioned somewhere that I Think her age is closer to 20.

To me the art style looks closer to the new Voltron series than TTG. I think Catra looks the best out of all the pictures. |

She-Ra looks like a guy in drag.
The animation looks cheap. Character designs look really bad except Catra. |

To be fair it works with He-Man's hard-gay attire.

THAT art looks closert to a young justice style. THIS looks more like teen titans go, or steven universe, or adventure time, or.....the list goes on. Glimmer looks absolutely horrible.

I'd say if Voltron was suppose to look "Shounen" in asthetics, this one is suppose to look "Shoujo"

Spoiler:
On the off chance someone wants a visual reference for the show names being tossed around. It's weird, the linework is more simplistic than that of Voltron or Young Justice, but I'd say it's closer to that than any of the above images. It looks far less stylized. Maybe a 2-D version of Green Lantern the Animated series? Right? Few things as Leather Daddy as He-Man. It's kind of refreshing to see female characters without lipstick. Maybe that's what's throwing people off.

Honestly I find this one more feminine. The original She-ra always looked "manly"

Looks alright to me. Still need to see the characters in motion though.

SheRa looks like a man. The art style is perfect for this show it looks like a girly version of the 90s Bruce Time style that was popular back in the day. The teen Titans go comparison makes 0 sense. It's very girly but it's a show for girls so who cares, I'm sure if it ever has a he man spin off that'll look more boy friendly. I'm interested enough to check it out. I'm not really a he man fan so don't care if the show is being ruined or not but if it's cool I'll check it out. Poor she ra with that man chin though.

Didn't He-Man get two reboots already though? Also another movie coming, that still happening?
I preferred He-man as a child but I did watch some of She-Ra. I don't care for the design but it seems to go with modern toons and I'm not likely to watch anyway so ... Last edited by newfan; 07-16-2018 at 02:47 PM. |
