The worst episode of the entire franchise
Thought this would make a fun discussion
What is the worst episode made for television in the entire franchise. Everything can count (aside from movies- ie the OVA can count, the Power Rangers in Space episode etc)

The BigFoot/Finger ep comes close.
Lots of 2K12 in the mix for me. |

Completely agree on the 2k12 filler, however when the story focuses on the foot clan the show is usually good (with exceptions)

Donatello's Badd Time is up there. I hate hillbillies.

Worst episode that comes to mind for me is "Michelangelo toys around"
I can't stand Weasel or whatever his name was. I want to say the Howie episodes from season 4 of the OT as well, but besides Howie himself, I think those episodes had plenty of great moments. |

Probably something with Zach the Fifth Turtle or any other human child sidekick. I always despised human child sidekicks.

Worst of each show, at least for me:
OT: Turtle Terminator from Season 3. This is the ep with the robot Irma, Raph's alternate voice, and some of the worst animation the show ever produced. I don't know what this ep was, it was like some Koreans put together the animation on their lunchbreak in the 80's. 4kids: Junklantis. The second Garbageman episode is easily the worst of the entire show. Nick: For me the Bigfoot episode in the Northampton arc. |

Oh man, I gotta agree on Zak getting involved in just about anything.
Mr. Ogg is probably another one. Even Krang's reaction to the Technodrome turning into a pumpkin couldn't save it. There be a man who has realized that everything in his life has come down to this. War, dismembering, constant humiliation. Now this. His greatest weapon. An oversized pumpkin.

There may be another one but off the top of my head for the OT series at least Mutagen Monster was pretty bad. It was just so boring and one note. I tuned in every week to see a TMNT episode and this episode was such a disappointment. I'm still trying to decide whether Cowabunga Shredhead is the worst episode they did as well.
I never hated that episode as some people do. I liked the idea of Don making all these high tech alterations to the Turtles Van and then it being used against them by the escaping gang. Quote:

I've never said this before but I actually really like the Badd episode
I just find the episode idea of Donatello having his pride shattered by hillibillies to be funny and I like how he tries to hide it from his brothers. |

That is my least favorite episode of the 1987 cartoon.
Overall, it would be the Power Rangers in Space crossover. I quit the Power Rangers franchise with this episode. So many things to gripe about it.

The Next Mutation should be excluded from this, there isn't a single episode from any of the cartoons that's THAT bad.

Some of the episodes listed here I like, such as the Bigfoot episode.
The two garbage man episodes are easily some of the worst. Nick has a lot of garbage as well but maybe nto as much as the garbage man episodes of 2k3. The only ones that match that level of trash is the old-school monsters arch of season 5. Bullsh-t. |

I'd say the majority of the European Vacation episodes. But other than that, the first thing that comes to mind is "Michelangelo Toys Around". "Name that Toon" is a close third, but it at least had good animation. I think I'm the only one who enjoys the Ogg episode.

I do as well. Lots of funny and great moments as with most of season 3 which in my opinion is the overall best season of the Original Cartoon.
Its only season 4 onwards which the quality really went through a major decline, especially during European Vacation and Syndication segments. Neverthless, I find even the worst episodes to be enjoyable in one way or another. |

Okay, technically not an "episode", but more of a comic storyline...
But we've said time and time again...the "April is a literal drawing" story in Mirage is absolutely heinous. Every single thing about it is just awful. Worst of all, it pretty much just seems to exist to make her more miserable than she already was in her apparent infertility. Was ovarian cancer not dramatic enough? Most of volume four just seemed to want to make April and Casey absolutely miserable for the sake of "story". How about no? Even IDW's Casey and April wasn't that bad, and it was still pretty bad. Seems like April and Casey seem to get saddled with the worst stuff time and time again.
