I just want a toy of Joey Gladstone from Full House wearing his TMNT pajamas.

I'm not into Stranger Things, nor am I interested in those figures, but I... kinda dig those Mirage turtles? I might get these, but I'm on the fence. It's almost the exact opposite feeling regarding the Street Fighter 2-packs, where I'm more interested in the Street Fighter figures than the turtles they had there. Too bad there's no way to mix and match.

Honestly for Playmates those Turtles aren’t that bad. If they were single packed (or 2-packs of Turtles without the Stranger Things figures) I might even consider them if I saw them in stores. But we know NECA Mirage figures are coming so just gonna hold out for them.

Why can't one of the sets include Mirage Leatherhead and a Demigorgon? Vecna and Savanti Romero?

They're made of Eggo waffles. Because Stranger Things character "11" AKA "Eleven" loves them. So that means, in Playmates logic, that the grittiest incarnation of the TMNT would naturally use them as weapons because *hey look over here sucker give us your money*

I mean, OK. I like Stranger Things. I like Mirage TMNT. It's pretty cool that there are toy makers that do, too, and pretty rare to see any Mirage love coming from up top post-sale. And they took care with this, even in the packaging. Look, one of the toys is upside down in every one... like the Upside Down. I can't hate on it.

Haters gonna hate but pretty much everyone who was bashing these before they were revealed has egg on their face. Everything is new. Completely new turtle sculpts, fun little storyline, nice looking “animated” Stranger Thing figs and loads of neat accessories. Even that commercial is great.
Good stuff all around. |

These are actually surprisingly good. Would've gotten them if they didn't come with the Stranger Things figures. Not for $40 though.

They are going to do TMNT with Muppets next. Who's betting?

I just now realized how awesome the first wave of 2K3 figures are. Especially for Playmates. Those sculpts and colors actually look great, no?
I hope they re-release those in a box-set. They are turtles and bound to sell. |

You know, if these are ever released in the UK (I don't hold my breath...) then I MIGHT be tempted to get the Leo/Hopper set.
These aren't all that bad. Just not sure if I want to splash that amount of money on them. The original Classics release, I have all 6 figures and kinda look back at them fondly. They were pretty good for the time, but just wish they were a smaller scale.
