The cover for issue 13 of TMNT: Saturday Morning Adventures reveals a crossover, It will feature the Mirage, 2003, 2012, Rise, and 87 TMNT together.

That’s neat. I don’t know if I’ll read it but holy crap is IDW killing it with the license. Only thing we are missing now is Peter’s return in one way or another.

Guess this Ogglympics story arc's going to be WAY crazier than I expected! Looking forward to seeing how Erik Burnham captures the voices of the different iterations in a FW-based comic. Also happy that they chose Donnie to represent 2k3. He's probably my second-favorite from that show behind Leo.

This time TMNT (1987) is the home team. It is not uncommon for one considered the guest between crossovers to get portrayed lesser then the characters really are.I am hoping that the 1987 TMNT will not be overly goofy and perhaps the other versions Sligh amplified.


I suspect this is a result of the special sword cutting through reality.

1987 Raph is definitely going to make a joke about how Turtles Forever wasn't canon since Rob Paulsen didn't voice him.

The art is cool. I like how 2k3 Don and Mirage Leo look. Also shows how grotesque Rise version is.

No original voice actor is not ideal but I am thankful for the Turtles Forever that we got. I really think they did about the best they could with their budget

87'TMNT could have been better written, though. It was not a problem with a budget.

Sure, its not like their politics regarding TMNT were shaped around licking FW version or anything...

If you mean that no-one, like absolutely no-one, wanted to reference 2k3 throughout all the years Viacom / Nick owned franchise, outside of IDW, it might be the case, but I feel it is a bit unlikely. Of course, we can't say for sure, but it feels like Nick specifically ignored 2k3, since it was unlike FW version and thus didn't fit in their idea of TMNT should be.

Of course, with success of TLR, they might change their stance, if it was indeed the case. But it would be easier for them to exploit Mirage'verse, instead of its "watered down" version. Even 2k3 is much more than that, regardless of some naysayers..
