Thor: Ragnarok
Thought I'd start a thread for this now that they've got a director and now that the trades are confirming Hulk will be a part of the movie.
http://variety.com/2015/film/news/ma...lk-1201619246/ JoBlo's original report on Hulk being included makes it sound like we'll be getting some variation of Planet Hulk in this. |

While seeing Hulk is great, I just want the Enchantress and Executioner to finally appear in the MCU. Always did love those two.

Counting how many Marvel movies come out in a year do we really need a separate therad for all of them? I would think a general MCU thread would work with the exception for bigger movies or a big announcement.

I dunno, Hulk doesn't really seem like he belongs in a Thor movie. This goes two ways for me: #1 I haven't liked either previous Thor movie very much (they're the only MCU movies NOT on my home shelf) because none of them have felt very gritty grounded Viking warrior Asgard mythological questy. Basically, I want a rolicking warrior Viking-god fantasy tale. But with Eric Selvig running around nekkid, Natalie Portman muttering about "sea bass", and The Warriors Three being nothing more than background character clutter... I don't see this as an indication that things will change for Thor 3. #2 On the other hand, tying in a major character that I DO like (Hulk) makes it much more likely that I'll want to see it. So far, the only main Thor characters I like are Darcy (yeah, I said it) and Loki. Odin's a well done character, but he's a d!ck. And Thor... he's never convinced me as an interesting character. I know, I know... no one else agrees, but y'all don't have to agree.

I have enjoyed the last two Thor movies but I think adding Hulk would be a little too much.

It'll be interesting to see how the Hulk fits in, since it doesn't really feel like he belongs in a Thor movie.

At the moment, I have very little faith that Thor 3 will be much of an improvement of its weak predecessors...

Looks like Cate Blanchett is joining the cast. Hela, maybe? I'm amazed at the quality of actors Marvel has been getting for their movies.

She's not good looking enough, and too old looking, to be the Enchantress.
This is what she needs to look like, I don't see her pulling it off: |

It is true though. The Enchantress is supposed to be a blonde bombshell who seduces Thor with her charms in both the comics and the cartoons. Look at the way comic artists always draw her with her boobs popping out of her top, even Avengers: EMH got away with cleavage for a cartoon.
They should have cast a young girl in their early to mid 20's. |

And if they cast her as Enchantress, there's literally noting you can do than just suck it up and deal with it.

Cate Blanchett is a super talented actor who would make that role something far more interesting and memorable than most others could. And Cubey is complaining about not getting enough cleavage.
Business as usual, then?
