Yeah, and didn't they already re-printed the first 3 issue Mutanimals miniseries and issue 6 already? So they would only have 8 issues to reprint.

I haven't been following IDW's trades since I own all the old Archie issues but it sucks for new people who never read the series before/

I get why they don't want to publish anything that offends Muslims, because they tend to kill people when they're offended. It's easy for some of us to not care about that, but I'm sure many of IDW's staff have families that don't want to be blown up just so some comics can be re-released, the same reason Kevin Smith gave for not wanting to produce Dogma 2.

There's also the issue with offending China regarding Tibet. PRC takes its territory disputes quite seriously and definitely wouldn't like the content. After hearing about IDW's troubles with the ports, maybe their comics are printed there ? I wouldn't expect that to continue if they republished it The Red Dawn remake went through the same thing, having to change the plot of the movie so that it could be sold in China.

Still, I don't understand why they're skipping so much, since editing out the questionable material would accomplish the same thing. It doesn't make a difference to me personally since I own most of the single issues and eventually will have all of them, but it would be good for new readers to be able to properly catch up.

Either way I'm opposed to censorship on moral grounds but realize it's necessary and unavoidable for practical purposes here.

Like CyberCubed said, they should have just edit the pages. Now I'll miss on those issues.

I'd rather them not reprint them at all, rather than censor them for content.
It's not as if these stories aren't out there to be found, either in scans or back issues.
