Got one set and got it for me. Hopped on NECA store on the first day and got my set of Turtles. I wanted the diorama set, but have no room for it. Like many of you, I have the 1/4 scale Turtles (3/4 at least). Wanted the 7" set to display differently.

I would like to at least see a 1/4 scale Shredder, but if the foot soldiers only arrive as 7" figures I'm cool with that.

I don't know what everyone is so mad about. I didn't get any sets with my own account during the pre-sale. My brother in law got two with the diorama for me. I pre-sold a diorama for $250 on ebay (no figures) and put the money towards another set with a diorama for $400

It is not surprising that one would attempt to sell the dio higher than its technical value when split out of the bundle. It is the rarer item in that bundle and there are probably people who want 1 or more if it by itself with no figures and will pay extra to avoid the hassle of having to flip the figures again, at a loss since they can't 2x an already 2x'd item.

The sellers are feeling out the market. The seller that went to $225 shipped OBO could end up driving it downward even if it gets no buyer. There is plenty of supply there right now and when that is true the sole driver of value is the completed items search...people won't want to pay more than what they see there.

It has only been 1 week, folks. Let the dust settle and be patient. This isn't even a "sold out" item yet, more supply ahead!

Especially if you want just the diorama. I think we will see a lot more part outs after the con. As people get actual sets in hand.

The Twitter comments aren't clear, nor are the pre-sale FAQs. Was the limit for 2 sets total, or 2 regulars and 2 dioramas? Seems to be some confusion on that issue.

as per Twitter: household limit of 2 sets with turtles total only. If you ordered 2 sets with diorama and 2 sets without diorama, your order will be cancelled. You're right, this was not addressed in the FAQ.

It's all over their Twitter. I'm glad that they're trying to clamp down on scalpers, but I really do think they're making a mistake by assuming that everyone read the more specific rules on Twitter. I mean, if someone looked only at the website FAQs, there's no way they would know they it was 2 turtles sets total.

yeah i guess you have a point there not everyone is on twitter. but still why would someone need 2 diorama sets and 2 basic sets unless to scalp the 2nd bundle off

Toy collectors are weird. We like to have a set to open but another to display. We give sets as gifts. We customize sets, or combine parts of some sets with those of another. You name it. I don't have a problem with cracking down on people who break the rules, but I do have a problem with creating ambiguous rules and then punishing people for misinterpreting or not seeing them. I mean, there's no sense in publishing two different sets of rules and then enforcing the more stringent of them.
