TMNT Newspaper strip - Original Art

Hello everybody,

I recently purchased from a British seller on eBay two original art TMNT strips.
You may have seen them already on eBay.
You can find both of them attached to this thread.

There was not much details on the strips themselves in the sell description.
Most I know is written on the pages themselves :
"TMNT Day 1 - Week 3 (13)" or "TMNT Day 3 (15)"
They both bear the "Mirage Studios" year 1990 seal.

The artist is unknown to me and was not specified by the seller. Yet both strips are signed on the back (you can find a photo attached).

I have tried to browse the forum and the web regarding TMNT Newspaper strips and I have not been able so far to find anything close in art or tone to the strips I now own.

If some of you are able to give any information about these strips I would be more than glad !

Thanks !

The artist actually discussed the Daily Mirror strips here at the Technodrome not long ago:

Scroll down to the posts by user Griffart.

He hasn't posted in a while, but you could PM him for more info.

Only recently did I even learn the U.K. had their own Turtles newspaper strip. And I'd never seen those other panels by Griffart. Really neat!

You clearly bought the artwork from the same eBay seller as me!

Didn't realise the artist had posted on here though.

Thank you for your answers !

If they were British market exclusive strips, I doubt I will find one day a printed version...

I never knew about the U.K. Strip. Also, hopefully we can find more of this and the Division Comic,

I saved all these photos from an ebay auction that ended a few months ago. It was a neat set, but I wasn't interested enough to bid on it before it sold. It has some interesting twists, like featuring pre-mutation Baxter Stockman, something that never happened in the original Fleetway comics stories.
Also, Burne Thompson finally makes good on a threat to fire April O'Neil, but Splinter encourages the Turtles to blackmail Burne into re-hiring April by threatening to tell his wife he's cheating on her with Tiffany.

Two more close ups of a re-telling of the Fred-wolf style origin story:

These are awesome. Makes me wish these were collected in a book or at least have high resolution scans for those that like to archive this kind of stuff.
