I refuse to believe that Splinter listens to Kenny G.

after having read the IDW ongoing #66 i have to wait a good long while before i was able to actually get into this comic!
it was like enjoying a Filet Mignon cooked to perfection , and then following it with a peanut butter and jelly sammich! the comic is goofy fun though. i love how Red J draws Batman even is some of the other characters are very off-model from their cartoon counterparts.

i'm not sure if he was ever truly dead?
after every time they destroy him, don't they always show the heart still beating?

That does bring up the question though, where exactly does this place? I know they've said it before but I can't remember. It has to take place between Battle for New York and Annihilation Earth, or does it take place in the alleged alternate continuity of Amazing Adventures? |

if i had to guess i'd say it takes place in it's own continuity outside of the cartoons? most if not all of the Amazing Adventures (and even New Animated Adventures) never really did seem to line up with the TV cartoon. which was odd reading the comics after Leo was badly hurt and the Turtles had to retreat to Northampton. issue after issue comes out with them still in NY and not even a mention of any of those events. not even so much as a "some time before The Invasion" or anything.

yeah the whole concept of using that trope just gets so tired after the first time.
heck, even season one used almost that same routine with Leonardo for 'Showdown' parts 1 & 2. i still enjoy the series, but there are things i really wish they would not do! Quote:
kind of like what was allowed to happen with the Archie comics. but i image too many young readers probably would have been confused by this approach.

Here's my full summary and review of Batman/TMNT Adventures #3 at TMNT Entity.
They're past most of the setup, now, so the repeated situations with the last crossover might be behind us. Poison Ivy and Snakeweed aren't my favorite Bat-Villains, but they made for a good team-up and Sommariva laid out a pretty cool fight. Looking forward to the next issue more than anything (Scarecrow's my favorite Batman rogue!). |

Hey at the risk of sounding like CyberCubed in the Supergirl thread, has anybody else noticed how "well endowed" Batgirl looks in this issue? I mean dang, this is a kid's comic after all. Save that kinda fan-service for the mainstream universes, LOL!
